Be patient and be content right where you are. With what you have been given and right where the Lord has placed you. The Lord has placed you there for a purpose. Be content where God has you at this time. If it seems to be not enough or too hard, God will use it as a test and refinement for your good.
“One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?
No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” Luke 16:10-13
Remember to pray always, day and through the night watches. Make your requests known to the Lord, and ask Him to give you what you need. But in the end, ask Him to give to you according to His will. He will not refuse such a humble cry, He will answer. Thought the ones who have to endure the most difficult trial will enjoy the greatest blessings.
Jesus said, “Pray then like this:” “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” Matthew 6:9-13
Watch yourself unless you fall into sin, asking for things you should not have or for God to bless you when you are walking in the wrong direction. Ask for Him to rebuke you if necessary. That is very difficult, but trust me it will be worth it. Then repent of your sins and purify yourself before the Lord. Humble yourself before Him. Go to Him with a pure heart and a clean conscience turning away from any sin He reveals to you. He promises that if you do that, He will restore and refresh you. Now, who doesn’t want that?
Repent, therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago. Acts 3:19-21
The Lord God of Heaven will bless you when you humble yourself, seek His will, and turn to follow His ways and direction. He will overflow blessings to you when the time is right, and give you everything that is best. Praise the Lord that when we seek His godliness He gives us contentment even in the hardest of times.
But godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content.
But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs. 1 Timothy 6:6-10
