Joy Of The Lord Is My Strength

The Lord will heal and bind up the brokenhearted. He will set free the captives, breaking the bonds of wickedness. He causes those once poor to be rich in His matchless grace forever. His eye is set on the righteous to dry their tears and bring them the joy they have never known.

Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” Jeremiah 8:10

Open your eyes and look up, for He is coming; unplug your ears, for He is speaking. Open your mouth in praise to God, for He has put a new song of joy on your lips. Understand all of this and let it sink deep into your heart and soul, for the Lord intends good for you and not evil.

I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul makes its boast in the LORD; let the humble hear and be glad. Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together! Psalm 34:1-3

The Lord God intends to pour out great joy, gladness, praise, and rejoicing now and always upon you. He will bless you today, even amid all the evil, wickedness, and hardship of this world, but even more at the glorious gates of Heaven. God will fill your heart with praise and peace even through the storm. He carries those He loves through the hardest of times.

Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints, for those who fear Him have no lack! The young lions suffer want and hunger, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. Psalm 34:8-10

Shout for joy and sing with gladness. Your God has already established and set you in the Heavens. He has already accomplished everything for you from the beginning to your last day. Therefore, all trust and confidence can be placed entirely upon Him, for the Lord rules and reigns over all things. No one can change anything He has said; not one word uttered can change His love for you. Neither can anyone move Him from what He has decided to give to you or declare true on your account.

Remember these things and always remember them. The Lord has a tremendous and excellent reward for those who follow and obey Him no matter the circumstances. No matter what happens or those who come against you. His favor is for you and not against you if you follow His Son, Jesus, with all your heart.

Behold, the Lord GOD comes with might, and His arm rules for Him; behold, His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him. He will tend His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs in His arms; He will carry them in His bosom and gently lead those that are with young. Isaiah 40:10-11

Praise the Lord your God who dwells among His people. Praise the Lord, for He is seated upon His Throne. Praise the Lord for your God Reigns! Praise the Lord, for His hand is upon you! Praise the Lord, for His plan is perfect, and His purposes are true! Praise Him, for He will not be moved or thwarted, but He will already be victorious!

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations. Strangers shall stand and tend your flocks; foreigners shall be your plowmen and vinedressers;

but you shall be called the priests of the Lord; they shall speak of you as the ministers of our God; you shall eat the wealth of the nations, and in their glory, you shall boast. Instead of your shame, there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonor, they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore, in their land, they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy. Isaiah 61:1-7
