God Of The Universe

The Universe is incredibly vast, and the better our ability to see into the far reaches of space, the bigger it becomes. There seems to be no end to the billions of galaxies stretching forever.

It is amazing how much is out there that is unknown to us. We have no idea how many celestial bodies there are. Let alone everything that is on them. When you sit down and think about it, it is incredible. The sheer vastness of space. How much knowledge do you possess of everything that could be known in the Universe? Do you know 5%, 1%, .5%, or maybe .1%? I mean about everything that could be known.

Let us think about this more deeply. How much knowledge do you possess about the country that you live in? Every person, vehicle, building, field, tree, plant, animal, and fish. How much do you know about every insect, creeping thing, and even things you can’t see with the naked eye: cells, germs, molecules, DNA, and atoms?

What about everything in the entire world? Everything in every deep jungle, in every sandy desert, to the tops of every mountain, and the depths of every pond, stream, lake, sea, and ocean? How about every planet, asteroid, comet, and sun in our solar system?

Do we forget to mention our entire galaxy and all 250 billion stars, planets, and moons in each galaxy? How about the Universe as a whole and every detail of every 2 trillion or so Galaxies? How about every one of them and every detail of each one down through the ages?

Wow! At first, you may have thought you knew things, but after thinking deeply, you might as well say you know nothing, which would be more accurate. It is absolutely mind-boggling just thinking of how much there is to know. But I assure you God knows it all because He created it all. Besides, if there is a building, there must be a builder. If there is a computer, there must be a designer, and if there is a creation, there must be a creator.

I am the LORD, and there is no other, besides me, there is no God; I equip you, though you do not know me, Isaiah 45:5

Do you believe there is a God? He must be powerful and extremely intelligent to create everything in the Universe to design, craft, and put everything together with brilliance, order, consistency, and ability to hold everything together. If you know so little about the grand scheme of things, how do you know there is no God? With this in mind, you could be wrong. It could be that you just don’t know Him. Now that we have looked into the vastness of space, could everything be here by chance?

Have you ever heard of an explosion putting things in order or creating anything from its chaos? Have you seen an explosion create a working and functional smartphone? Yes? No! Never has anything been created in this way. If it is impossible for nothing to make anything, then it is also impossible for something of non-intelligence to create anything of intelligence or for the Universe to create itself out of nothing.

There has to be a Creator! And since there is, He must be good and perfect. To make everything so complex, beautiful, and perfectly in order. If He is good and perfect, He cannot tolerate evil, which would be anything that breaks that perfection. Because “good” means moral perfection, He would have to punish whatever is evil.

So the big question is, “Are you good?” Honestly, answer these simple questions to see how good you are. How many times have you lied in your entire life? Have you ever stolen anything that didn’t belong to you, no matter how small or insignificant? Who hasn’t lied or stolen something? If so, wouldn’t that make you a liar and a thief?

Have you ever coveted someone’s possessions, wife, or husband or made anything more important to yourself than God? Who can honestly say they have not? If so, wouldn’t you be covetous and an idolater?

Jesus said in Matthew 5:21-30 ” You have heard it said of old you shall not murder, but I say to you if you hate your brother you have committed murder in your heart already.”

Jesus also said, “You have heard it of old, you shall not commit adultery, but I say to you, anyone who looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery in their hearts already.”

If you have hated someone or lusted after someone in your heart, that would make you a murderer and or an adulterer at heart. Wow, this is really starting to get serious. You can plainly see that none of us are good. Once you begin to think about it, everyone has sinned and broken God’s Law. We have all done what is evil in His sight.

As it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together, they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.” Romans 3:10-12 All of us have fallen short of the Glory of God.” Romans 3:23

We are all lawbreakers in God’s eyes. Yes, even criminals for breaking His Law, the Ten Commandments. Because God is good, He is also just and righteous. He has to judge and punish sin wherever it is found. Yet, He is loving, and I will explain that momentarily.

But, one day, you will die, and you will have to face God on judgment day. He will find you guilty and sentence you to Hell, which is His prison for sinners. Does that bother you? Does that scare you? It should! I don’t want you to go to such a horrible place as Hell.

But now I am privileged to share the good news with you. Did you know that God made a way to escape, and the punishment you deserve was paid for? Yes, God loved you so much. He sent His only son, Jesus Christ, to the earth 2000 years ago to suffer, die, and take the entire Wrath of God upon Himself to pay for your sins and mine.

Then He rose from the dead, therefore defeating sin and death. He is now alive and seated at the right hand of the Throne of God. This means that God can legally dismiss your case if you turn to Him for forgiveness through repentance, turning away from your sinful lifestyle.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Today, there are three things you need to do: Confess your sins to God, repent, which means turning away from your life of sin, and trust fully in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior by faith. If you do that from your heart, God promises to forgive you all your sins and give you eternal life in Heaven as a free gift. Instead of punishment, He will provide you with joy and peace.

There is a God. The Universe and all Creation cry out and proclaim that He does exist. The continual painting of the sunrise declares His glory. He says that if you seek Him with all your heart, you will find Him if you have faith and believe in Him. But you must forsake your sins and follow and obey Him for the rest of your life.

For the Word of God says, “And without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6

He will save you from an eternity of suffering in Hell. He will give you great rewards in Heaven for your faithfulness to Him. He loves those who love Him and graciously offers to those who give themselves entirely to Him. Your sins will be paid for, one way or the other, either by Jesus and His death on the cross or by you. If you reject Jesus, you will pay for them for all eternity in Hell. You do not want to go there, no matter what anyone says otherwise. I am reaching out to you because I care for your soul.

Please consider this; it is more important than all the world’s riches. You will only take your eternal soul from this world into eternity. Turn to Jesus today before it is too late. Consider that over 150,000 people die every day, and you may not make it home. So, turn to Jesus right now.

Jesus has been waiting your entire life for this moment that you would humble yourself. He waits for you to cry out to Him, who you know exists, and ask for His forgiveness. He is waiting to save you from your sin and death to come. He loves you so much. He wants your eternal destination to be Heaven. What are you waiting for?
