The Lord God Almighty is sovereign. He rules and reigns over all things, in all places, at all times, and in every way imaginable. Who is there greater than God? None comes close, none that could ever stand up to Him or measure up to Him. There is nothing that exists that could even compare to His greatness.
There is none like you, O LORD; you are great, and your name is great in might. Who would not fear you, O King of the nations? For this is your due, for among all the wise ones of the nations and in all their kingdoms, there is none like you. They are both stupid and foolish; the instruction of idols is but wood!
Beaten silver is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz. They are the work of the craftsman and of the hands of the goldsmith; their clothing is violet and purple; they are all the work of skilled men. But the LORD is the true God; He is the living God and the everlasting King. At His wrath, the earthquakes and the nations cannot endure His indignation. Jeremiah 10:6-10
The rulers of this world, the mighty, the strong, the powerful, and the influential, are but a speck in the universe to Him. If it weren’t for the grace and mercy of the Lord, His patient endurance, and His longing that all would repent, He would wipe them away instantly. Then, all the Lord would have to do is say the word. But that is for a future time that only He knows.
Fret not yourself because of evildoers, and be not envious of the wicked, for the evil man has no future; the lamp of the wicked will be snuffed out. My son, fear the LORD and the king, and do not join with those who do otherwise, for disaster will arise suddenly from them, and who knows the ruin that will come from them both? Proverbs 24:19-22
There is nothing that escapes His sight, nothing that moves without His permission, nothing that happens that is not according to His plan and will. Mankind could not accomplish one thing without His authorization or breath within them.
He has made all things and formed them with the power of His Word. He knew each item from its beginning to end before He created them. He has planned everything and constructed it to bring about His intended plan for His glory, honor, praise, and good pleasure.
There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like yours. All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name. For you are great and do wondrous things; you alone are God.
Teach me your way, O LORD, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name. I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever. For great is your steadfast love toward me; you have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol. Psalm 86:8-13
He will have His way. No Devil, demon, wicked man or woman, or devious scheme of any of them will ever move Him from His place of sovereign authority. No, not one millimeter. He stands firm to the end, unmovable.
Who do we trust? But this awesome, magnificent, marvelous, majestic, amazing, all-powerful, loving, and merciful God! If you have faith in Him, He will never leave you; He will never fail and never forsake you. He will never falter in accomplishing every promise He has declared. He is faithful to those who are faithful to Him.
“Remember this and stand firm, recall it to mind, you transgressors, remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’ calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country. I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed, and I will do it.” Isaiah 46:8-11
