“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever.”
He is the King of kings and Lord of lords, the ruler over all nations, tribes, and peoples. He is the ruler of the land and the sea. He is the ruler of the heavens and earth. He is the ruler over everything that exists.
Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise! For the Lord is a great God and a great King above all gods. In His hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are His also. The sea is His, for He made it, and His hands formed the dry land. Psalm 95:1-5
May praise, worship, and thanksgiving to the Lord God Almighty be always upon your lips and in your heart. Even in the face of trouble and tribulation, may your thanksgiving go up to the Lord as a sweet-smelling aroma to God.
But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of Him everywhere. For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, 2 Corinthians 2:14-15
His love for you is from everlasting to everlasting. There is no beginning and no end to His marvelous love. He causes the sun to shine and the rain to fall on both the good and the evil. So great is His love for mankind. He could have squashed you when you first sinned. He could have allowed you to fade into eternity long ago.
But He is patient, kind, merciful, forgiving, and long-suffering. Longing and waiting for all those who are willing to come to repentance. Into His warm and loving embrace. He is faithful even when you are not. He is gracious to you when you are unworthy of it. He is merciful to you when you do not deserve it. How great is His love? Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good.
As for man, his days are like grass; he flourishes like a flower of the field; for the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place knows it no more. But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children, to those who keep His covenant and remember to do His commandments. The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, and His kingdom rules overall. Psalm 103:15-19
Jesus has displayed the ultimate love. He sacrificed Himself to take your punishment on the cross. The depths of His love are far beyond the lengths you have gone to sin and be rebellious. At your darkest hour, He saw you, loved you, and made way for your redemption.
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him, all things hold together.
And He is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything He might be preeminent. For in Him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of His cross. Colossians 1:15-20
He reaches out to you, hoping you will turn and obey Him. Through every anguish and pain, every lashing and wound, and every bruise and blow He endured. He was thinking of you. Paying the wrath and punishment you deserved, all because of His love for you. Thank the Lord He was willing to take your debt upon Himself for you.
Give thanks to Him, for He has done mighty things, things so great no one else could have accomplished. He was motivated by His marvelous love for you. Give thanks to Him when your heart soars on high, and give thanks to Him when you must trudge through suffering and pain. He has a purpose and plan for that too.
No matter what situation or circumstance you find yourself in, He is there with you, loving and caring for you. His love and faithfulness are forever constant. If you are His child. He calls you His friend. He calls you His heir, and He calls you His beloved. Never stop giving Him thanks because He will see your gratitude and lift you up to stand with Him in strength.
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of gods, for His steadfast love endures forever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords, for His steadfast love endures forever; to Him who alone does great wonders, for His steadfast love endures forever;
It is He who remembered us in our low estate, for His steadfast love endures forever; and rescued us from our foes, for His steadfast love endures forever; He who gives food to all flesh, for His steadfast love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of heaven, for His steadfast love endures forever. Psalm 136:1-4,23-26
