Given Seed To Sow

You can have complete confidence in your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You can trust Him to do as He has promised because He is the only one who makes promises that He never breaks. You can sow into His work and know you will reap a harvest. He is the Almighty God who never lies and never ceases to amaze the likes of men who fail again and again.

His divine glory, we see in all of creation, if you are willing to see. He displays His splendor day and night by the radiance of the sun, moon, stars, and everything upon the earth. He has made all of them, holding them fast until the appointed time His final judgment has come. All power, authority, and supremacy have been given to Jesus and nothing is impossible for Him.

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Matthew 28:18 “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will, they existed and were created.” Revelation 4:11

He has approved and planned out your path as well. He has established and preordained the road that you must journey upon. To every man, woman, and child who has been called by God, He has given a specific job to be done. A task to be accomplished. May it be to encourage, teach, help, supply income, or bind up the brokenhearted. He calls us all to sow the seeds of salvation in the souls of men. Through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Jesus said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

As a farmer sows different kinds of seeds on good soil in different ways, he expects us to sow in the way He has designed us to work the fields. The farmer expects to see the germinated seed sprout up and grow to maturity. He also expects when it comes to maturity that he will harvest that same seed that more may be sown.

As it is with all of us. Each one of you has been given different gifts, so that you may be able to sow the Word of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the unbeliever in an assortment of ways. You do not cultivate corn in the same way you do plant tomatoes. But there is a different method to bring each crop to harvest.

Some preach with their mouths and instruct others in the Word. Some work with their hands to help those in need. Some write and instruct, some comfort and console, and some encourage and build up the Church. Many are the parts of the body working in unique ways to come to the same goal in Christ. But each one works not for their own good but for the good of others. If they are truly working for the glory of God.

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.

To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another, the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,

to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills. 1 Corinthians 12:5-11

No matter what your skills or gifts may be, if you sow the Word of God and work diligently for the purposes of His will, it will not come back empty. You will reap a bountiful harvest that no one will be able to deny. As it is written, “you will reap what you have sown.”

The good seed sown in a good soil by faith will take root, sprout up, and be harvested by the righteous. The whole purpose is to take a soul that dwells in darkness and bring them out into the light of the Lord Jesus Christ. To plant them in the soil of His Word that they may grow to the maturity of His image.

For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:10-11

God has already planned it all out. Though the road is rough and they may come many obstacles that you must cross, God will make a way of fulfilling His will in your life and the work you have been given to do. It may take longer than you expected and the road rougher than you would have liked. But He will get you to the end by His sustaining hand.

So increase your faith in His power and plan. Move forward in the joy of the Lord, praising His name because He has already planned your path ahead. You can have confidence He will never fail you. Step out in the power of His Spirit. Continue to follow without swerving to the right or left. With a steady, steadfast, and confident faith in the Lord.

Then sow the seeds of the Gospel in the hearts of men. There is nothing more sure, nothing more transforming, nothing more powerful, or revolutionary than the seed of His Word. The Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ will transform minds, hearts, and souls changing them into a wholesome and healthy crop ready to produce much fruit for the Kingdom of God.

For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty. For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, and the voice was borne to Him by the Majestic Glory, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased,”

we ourselves heard this very voice borne from heaven, for we were with Him on the holy mountain. And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, 2 Peter 1:16-19
