You can have full and complete confidence in your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for He has been approved and established by God the Father Himself. His divine glory has been displayed in all creation, the sun, moon, stars, and everything upon the earth displays His splendor. He has made all of them.
All power, authority, and supremacy have been given to Him.
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Matthew 28:18
“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.” Revelation 4:11
He has approved and planned out your path as well. He has established and preordained you to walk on this journey called life. To every man, woman, and child called by God He has given a specific job to be done. A task to be accomplished to sow the seeds of salvation in the souls of men.
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
As a farmer sows different kinds of seed on good soil in different ways, he expects the same result. The farmer expects to see the germinated seed sprout up and grow to maturity. He also expects when it comes to maturity that he will harvest that same seed that more may be sown.
So also each one of you is given different gifts, that you may be able to sow the Word of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the unbeliever in different ways.
Some preach. some teach, some work with their hands to help, some write and instruct, some comfort and console, and some encourage and build-up. But each works not for their own good but for the good of others and for the glory of God.
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.
To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills. 1 Corinthians 12:5-11
No matter what your skills and gifts may be, if you sow the Word of God it will not come back empty. But whatever you sow, you will reap in like manner.
The good seed sown on good soil will take root, sprout up, and be harvested in faith and righteousness. That a soul who dwelt in darkness might be brought up into the light of the Lord Jesus Christ.
For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:10-11
God has already planned it all out. Nothing will get in the way of fulfilling His will in your life and the work you have been given. It may take longer than expected. The road may be rougher than you would have liked it to be. But He will get you to the end and He will not let you fail.
Move forward in the joy of the Lord and the confidence in the authority. Step out in the power of His Spirit. Continue to follow without swerving to the right or left. With a steady, steadfast, and confident faith in the Lord.
There is nothing more sure, nothing more transforming, nothing more powerful, or revolutionary than the Seed of the Word. The Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. It changes minds, hearts, and souls from an empty dead shell to a wholesome and healthy vessel ready for service.
For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For when he received honor and glory from God the Father, and the voice was borne to him by the Majestic Glory, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased,”
we ourselves heard this very voice borne from heaven, for we were with him on the holy mountain. And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, 2 Peter 1:16-19
