Who is the one that the Lord will be pleased with? Who will He be pleased with when He returns? It will be His servant that lives a life of continual servitude and obedience to their Lord and Master Jesus Christ. Keeping His ways, commands, and precepts. The one that encourages one another, loves the unlovable, and diligently works to build the Kingdom of Heaven.
The one who keeps moving forward in faith no matter what is ahead. The one who keeps trusting and obeying the Lord though they can not see anything through the midst of the struggle and hardship.
His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ Matthew 25:23
Do all you can to please the Father in everything you do. Be alert to the opportunities He has placed before you, and the work He has prepared for you. Be found faithful right now, as you work, and when the Lord returns He will find you faithful. He will honor you before God because you honored Him in the presence of men.
And I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man also will acknowledge before the angels of God, Luke 12:8
Each one of us has a different job given to us by the Lord, as a part of the body of Christ. Work heartily at what you have been given. Stay awake and vigilant to do what He has placed you on this earth to do.
Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into.
Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom His master has set over His household, to give them their food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom His master will find so doing when He comes. Truly, I say to you, He will set Him over all His possessions. Matthew 24:42-47
Be faithful in every task you set your mind to do. Be ready at any moment to bless others with what you have been given. Your hard devoted work will be rewarded. Work together with those God has placed in your lives to do greater and greater works for the Kingdom of God. Great works are not always what the world thinks they are. But doing good things little by little and day by day will bring you eternal honor.
There is no greater cause than to do the will of God the Father in Heaven. There is no greater reward than for Him to call you a “good and faithful servant.” Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, help the brokenhearted, and help lift up the weak. Make bold the unsure, comfort the lonely, encourage the brotherhood, do good to everyone, and seek to save the lost through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Then the Lord will surely call you faithful.
He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8
