The Path Before You

Everyone puts their trust in something or someone. But I am here to warn you not to trust men, wealth, a career, possessions, or your religious leaders. For all the things of this world will fail. None of them will last or prove to be trustworthy. There is only one who is worthy of genuine trust.

All hope and trust will stand firm if you put your trust in the Lord your God. He is your strength when you are struggling with weakness. He is your power when your spirit is faint. He is your boldness when your courage has failed. He is your refuge when the storms rage and the winds batter against the walls of life, seeking to tear you down.

God will never lose His grip, let you down, forsake you, or let you go too far away from the path He has laid before you. But He will correct you and bring you back to where you need to be because He loves you.

Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving might of His right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright. Psalm 20:6-8

God knows your ways, He knows your weaknesses, and He knows that you are nothing without Him. He knows that you need Him every moment of the day, though you may not perceive it. Though the path is narrow and perilous, the valleys are dark, and the hills of life are difficult. The Lord, your God, is with you every step of the way if you have put your faith in Him.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

“Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him because he knows my name. When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life, I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” Psalm 91:14-15

The Lord’s ways are higher than the heavens. He is finer than the best of gems. He is wiser, more robust, bigger, and more incredible than anything, far beyond comparison. His love, mercy, and grace are more limitless than anyone could imagine or comprehend.

O LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven above or on earth beneath, keeping covenant and showing steadfast love to your servants who walk before you with all their heart;  1 Kings 8:23

There is none like you, O LORD; you are great, and your name is great in might. Who would not fear you, O King of the nations? For this is your due; for among all the wise ones of the nations and in all their kingdoms, there is none like you. They are both stupid and foolish; the instruction of idols is but wood! Jeremiah 10:6-8

So why should you fear? Why should you doubt? Do not be afraid that you may fail. Do not worry if you do not see what is ahead. Do not be frightened about the unknown or falter as you walk on your path He has laid at your feet. Do not listen to those who say you will fail. Step by step, inch by inch, and moment by moment, He will lead, guide, protect, and direct your steps. The Lord will hold you fast.

He achieves the unachievable, sees what is unsearchable, knows what is unknowable, and controls the uncontrollable. Therefore, keep your faith firm and trust in Him and His plan. No one can stop you from accomplishing His will when you walk by faith and trust the Lord Jesus Christ in all you do.

May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob protect you! May He send you help from the sanctuary and give you support from Zion! May He remember all your offerings and regard with favor your burnt sacrifices! Selah, May He grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans! May we shout for joy over your salvation, and in the name of our God, set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions! Psalm 20:1-5
