The Path Before You

Do not put your trust in men, not in wealth, a career, possessions, or your religious leaders. For all the things of this world will fail. None of them will last or prove to be trustworthy.

But all hope and trust will stand firm in the Lord your God. He is your strength when you are struggling with weakness. He is your power when your spirit is faint. He is your boldness when your courage has failed. He is your place of refuge when the storms rage and when the winds batter against the walls of life.

God will never lose His grip, never let you down, never forsake you, and never let you go too far away from the path He has laid before you. But He will correct you and bring you back to the place you need to be.

Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving might of His right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright. Psalm 20:6-8

He knows your ways, He knows your weaknesses, and He knows that you are nothing without Him. He knows that you need Him every moment of the day, though you may not perceive it. Though the path is narrow and perilous, the valleys are dank and dark, and the hills are steep and difficult. The Lord your God is with you every step of the way. If you have put your faith in Him.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

“Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him because he knows my name. When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life, I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” Psalm 91:14-15

His ways are higher than the heavens. He is more perfect than the finest gems. He is wiser, more robust, bigger, and more incredible than anything, far beyond comparison. His love, mercy, and grace are more limitless than anyone could ever imagine or comprehend.

O LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven above or on earth beneath, keeping covenant and showing steadfast love to your servants who walk before you with all their heart;  1 Kings 8:23

There is none like you, O LORD; you are great, and your name is great in might. Who would not fear you, O King of the nations? For this is your due; for among all the wise ones of the nations and in all their kingdoms there is none like you. They are both stupid and foolish; the instruction of idols is but wood! Jeremiah 10:6-8

So why should you fear? Why should you doubt? Do not be afraid that you may fail. Do not worry if you do not see what is ahead. Do not be frightened about the unknown or falter on your path He has laid at your feet. Do not listen to those who say you will fail. Step by step, inch by inch, and moment by moment He will lead, guide, protect, and direct your steps. The Lord will hold you fast.

He achieves the unachievable, He sees what is unsearchable, He knows what is unknowable, and He is in control of the uncontrollable. If it is His will, you have faith in Him and His plan. No one will be able to stop you from accomplishing His will.

May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob protect you! May He send you help from the sanctuary and give you support from Zion! May He remember all your offerings and regard with favor your burnt sacrifices! Selah May He grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans! May we shout for joy over your salvation, and in the name of our God set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions! Psalm 20:1-5
