How hard it is for many to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Yes, you heard that right. It is so very hard to make it into the Pearly Gates. To endure to the end. Having proof of salvation by your persistent faith, acts of righteous deeds developed by the work of the Holy Spirit within you, and fruits of the Spirit displayed daily throughout your life.
The reason why it is so difficult is because of the deceitfulness, alluring attraction, and the powerful grip of your own sin and fleshly desires.
Oh how the devil and his demons dance for glee when you turn to sin instead of obeying Me. God
Because of sin, you justify yourself, lowering and minimizing the Law of the Lord that you may continue in your own rebellious sin.
Don’t be the one who refuses to mortify your own sinful desires. But seek after God, obey His commands, repent, and put away the ways of the devil.
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, Acts 3:19
But instead, the vast majority of people keep on doing what is dishonorable before the Lord and even justify those things that are an abomination to Him. Yes, even those things deemed vial, audacious, abominable, and revolting to the Lord are called good and pleasing to Him by wicked men. May the Lord forbid.
Jesus said, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.
Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:17-20
It is the poor in spirit, the humble of heart, the lowly of countenance, and the one who firmly declares in his soul that he will seek after God that will see Heaven. It is the one who seeks His righteousness with a ferocious focus, a resolute mind, a pure heart, and all the strength they can muster that will see the glory and magnificence of the Lord.
From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force. Matthew 11:12
The rich, prideful, haughty, arrogant, lazy, destructive, careless, and idolatrous person will not walk the narrow road that leads to life. They will refuse to work and labor on the rough and straight path that leads to righteousness. But instead choose the easy and wide road that leads to destruction, not caring what will come later.
And Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly, I say to you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” Matthew 19:23-24
But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26
Do not serve the things of this world, the ways of man, religion, tradition, and the deceitful ways of the devil. All that you see before you, all that you lay your hands to do that is not done for the glory of God and the love of one another will be blown away like dust in the wind.
Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Galatians 6:7-8
Turn to the Lord and seek Him with all your might. Cry out to Him for help that you will not go the wrong way and refuse to walk on His narrow path that He may do good to you and for you.
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the LORD, Jeremiah 28:12-14
All that is done for your sinful desires and that is not a fruit of the Spirit will not profit you. But will drag you down to the pit of Hell.
Repent today and walk in His ways. Do not lay your hand to the till and look back but work for the Lord with a resolute determination never to go back to your old ways. Never to veer from His narrow road He has prepared for you to tread.
Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore He will rise up to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him! People of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious He will be when you cry for help! As soon as He hears, He will answer you.
Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
Then you will desecrate your idols overlaid with silver and your images covered with gold; you will throw them away like a menstrual cloth and say to them, “Away with you!” He will also send you rain for the seed you sow in the ground, and the food that comes from the land will be rich and plentiful. In that day your cattle will graze in broad meadows. The oxen and donkeys that work the soil will eat fodder and mash, spread out with fork and shovel.
In the day of great slaughter, when the towers fall, streams of water will flow on every high mountain and every lofty hill. The moon will shine like the sun, and the sunlight will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven full days, when the LORD binds up the bruises of His people and heals the wounds He inflicted. Isaiah 30:18-26
