How hard it is for many to enter the Kingdom of Heaven; the world has no idea. Yes, you heard that right. It is so very hard to make it into the Pearly Gates. Many in this world say that all roads of religion lead to God. But this statement is not true.
For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. Matthew 7:14
It is so difficult to get to Heaven because people believe that God is who they think He is. Instead of believing who He says He is. They make a god in their imagination with whom they are comfortable. We want Him to accept us for the way we are instead of following and obeying the commands He has given us.
You will not get to Heaven by just doing your own thing. He has separated you from Him because of your lying, stealing, hatred, lust, blasphemy, coveting, idolatry, and more. These are from the Ten Commandments God gave to all of humanity, that He commands us to obey. These are why most will not reach Heaven, disobedience, rebellion, idolatry, and false religion.
Whether you know it or not, you justify your sin when you think your lies are ok. You attempt to minimize the requirements of His Laws. You may even be calling evil good and good evil. Have you already decided your ways are right? If you remain in this rebellious state and do not turn from sin, you will receive what you have earned. God says that death is what you receive as your wages. Punishment is what is waiting for those who disobey His Law, and Hell is the prison they will find themselves in the end.
Don’t be the one who refuses to turn away from your own sinful desires and receive your just punishment. Every time you sin, you store up God’s wrath. But seek after God, obey His commands, repent, put away your sinful ways, and trust Jesus to forgive your sins; a reward will be your payment instead.
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, Acts 3:19
Don’t you see how the world is ripping itself apart? When you delight in sinful behavior, the devil and his demons dance for glee. When you hate and curse others, doing anything God sees as a sin. When you lie, kill, steal, and more, the devil gets his way with you, and you lose in the end.
There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are an abomination to Him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers. Proverbs 6:16-19
Jesus said, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.
Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:17-20
It is the poor in spirit, the humble of heart, the lowly of countenance, and the one who firmly declares in his soul that he will seek after God with all his heart that will find Heaven. It is the one who seeks His righteousness with a ferocious focus, resolute mind, and pure heart. It is the one who depends on God for strength and then follows and obeys His commands that God delights. Those who believe in Jesus Christ and repent for their sins will make it to Heaven.
The rich, prideful, haughty, arrogant, lazy, destructive, careless, and idolatrous person will not be willing to walk the narrow road God lays out. It is a road full of hardship, suffering, and trials. Therefore, they will refuse to work and labor on the rough road of righteousness God has designed for His servants.
Believe me; it is hard but worth it. To follow God and walk the road that leads to Heaven is not easy. But God will be with you every step of the way. His promises are true, and He never lies. He will reward handsomely everyone who follows Him. So don’t be the one who chooses the easy and wide road of this world. It leads to destruction. All other roads other than Jesus Christ leads to death and Hell.
And Jesus said to His disciples, “Truly, I say to you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” Matthew 19:23-24
But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man, this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26
Then Jesus told His disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Matthew 16:24-26
Do you serve your desires, religion, tradition, and sins of this world? All you see before you, all that you lay your hands to do, and all you do for yourself will be worth nothing in the end. But, if you are not doing it for the Lord Jesus Christ, it will be worthless.
Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Galatians 6:7-8
Turn to the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. He is seeking; He is waiting for you to turn to Him. Cry out to Him for help so that you will not go the wrong way. Repent and ask Him for the forgiveness of your sins. Do not refuse to walk in His ways. The consequences are severe. Do what is good and acceptable in God’s eye, and He will reward you.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things, there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23
Repent today, and believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior. He died for your sins. He defeated sin and death by rising from the dead. He took the punishment you deserve, the wrath of God. Turn your life over to Him; it will be worth the sacrifice.
God gave you His Law, the ten commandments, not to punish you but to help you and preserve your life from eternal death. He gave the Law that you would know what sin is, that you might turn away from your sinful lifestyle and follow Him.
Jesus is waiting for you. His way is good and leads to life and, in the end, reward. Follow Him today along the narrow road that leads to eternal life in Heaven.
Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore, He will rise up to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him! People of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious He will be when you cry for help! As soon as He hears, He will answer you.
Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes, you will see them. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” Isaiah 30:18-21
