How hard it is for many to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, the world has no idea. Yes, you heard that right. It is so very hard to make it into the Pearly Gates. Many in this world say that all roads of religion lead to God. But this statement is not true.
For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. Matthew 7:14
The reason why it is so difficult to get to Heaven is, that people believe that God is who they think He is. Instead of believing who He says He is. They make a god in their own imagination, who they are comfortable with. We want Him to accept us for the way we are instead of following and obeying the commands He has given.
You will not get to Heaven by just doing your own thing. Because of your sins, you will be separated from Him. Lying, stealing, hatred, lust, blasphemy, coveting, idolatry, and more. These are from the Ten Commandments God gave to all of humanity, that He commands us to obey. These are the reasons why most will not reach Heaven, disobedience, rebellion, idolatry, and false religion.
Whether you know it or not, you justify your sin. Lowering or minimizing the requirements of His Laws. Calling evil good and good evil. You have decided your ways are the right ways. If you remain in this rebellious state and do not turn from sin you will receive what you have earned. God says that death is what you receive as your wages. The punishment for this disobedience will be paid back to you in a prison He calls Hell.
Don’t be the one who refuses to turn away from your own sinful desires and receive your just punishment. Every time you sin, you store up His wrath. But seek after God, obey His commands, repent, put away your sinful ways, and trust Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins.
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, Acts 3:19
Don’t you see how the world is ripping itself apart? The devil and his demons dance for glee when you delight in sinful behavior. When you hate and curse others, doing anything that God sees as sin. When you lie, kill, steal, and more.
There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are an abomination to Him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers. Proverbs 6:16-19
Jesus said, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.
Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
For I tell you unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:17-20
It is the poor in spirit, the humble of heart, the lowly of countenance, and the one who firmly declares in his soul that he will seek after God with all his heart that will find Heaven. It is the one who seeks His righteousness with a ferocious focus, resolute mind, pure heart, and with all his strength to follow and obey His commands. Those who believe in Jesus Christ and repent for their sins will make it to Heaven.
The rich, prideful, haughty, arrogant, lazy, destructive, careless, and idolatrous person will not be willing to walk the narrow road God lays out. A road full of hardship, suffering, and trials. They will refuse to work and labor on the rough road of righteousness God has designed.
Believe me, it is hard but worth it.
To follow God and walk the road that leads to Heaven is not easy. But God will be with you every step of the way. His promises are true and He never lies. He will reward handsomely everyone who follows Him. Don’t be the one who chooses the easy and wide road of this world. It leads to destruction. All other roads other than Jesus Christ leads to death and Hell.
And Jesus said to His disciples, “Truly, I say to you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” Matthew 19:23-24
But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26
Then Jesus told His disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Matthew 16:24-26
Do you serve your own desires, religion, tradition, and sins of this world? All that you see before you, all that you lay your hands to do, all that is done for yourself will be worth nothing in the end. If it is not done for the Lord Jesus Christ it will be worthless.
Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Galatians 6:7-8
Turn to the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. He is seeking, He is waiting for you to turn to Him. Cry out to Him for help so that you will not go the wrong way. Repent and ask Him for the forgiveness of your sins. Do not refuse to walk in His ways. The consequences are severe. Do what is good and acceptable in God’s eye and He will reward you.
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the LORD, Jeremiah 28:12-14
All that is done for your sinful desires and that is not a fruit of the Spirit will not profit you. But will drag you down to the pit of Hell. This is a hard thing to hear, but I pray that you will listen. Love is telling the truth to those who are in danger. No matter what the consequences in this natural world might be.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things, there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23
Repent today, believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior. He died for your sins. He defeated sin and death by rising from the dead. He took the punishment you deserve, the wrath of God. Turn your life over to Him, it will be worth the sacrifice.
God gave you His Law the ten commandments not to punish you but to help you and preserve your life from eternal death. He gave them that you would know what sin is. That you might turn away from your sinful lifestyle and follow Him.
Jesus is waiting for you. His way is good and leads to life, and in the end, reward. Follow Him today along the narrow road that leads to eternal life in Heaven.
Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore He will rise up to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him! People of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious He will be when you cry for help! As soon as He hears, He will answer you.
Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes, you will see them. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
Then you will desecrate your idols overlaid with silver and your images covered with gold; you will throw them away like a menstrual cloth and say to them, “Away with you!” He will also send you rain for the seed you sow in the ground, and the food that comes from the land will be rich and plentiful. In that day your cattle will graze in broad meadows. The oxen and donkeys that work the soil will eat fodder and mash, spread out with fork and shovel.
In the day of great slaughter, when the towers fall, streams of water will flow on every high mountain and every lofty hill. The moon will shine like the sun, and the sunlight will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven full days, when the LORD binds up the bruises of His people and heals the wounds He inflicted. Isaiah 30:18-26
