He Gives Generously to the Upright

How do you know that you will receive from God what we ask? If your heart is pure, and you are walking in the Spirit of the Lord. If you are obeying His commands. If it is not out of selfishness that you ask, but from your true need and sincere desire to follow, obey, and honor Him. If it is according to His will, He will give it.

The Lord knows what is in your heart, and He knows what is best. He is far greater and wiser, and His ways and purposes extend to the far reaches of time, He knows what He is doing.

Consider this, the Storm has been sent to strengthen you and cause your roots to be driven deeper in Him, that you may be able to stand when greater and more powerful winds come to try to topple your position. He has a great purpose for it, and for you, and the work He has prepared for you requires you to be tested and strengthened. Without the Storm, you would be left weaker, but now you are strong!

He cares for your every need, He already knows what they are. But He also wants you to ask, to raise your hands to Him so you can receive whatever He has for you. So keep your heart pure and honest. Raise your requests and petitions to the Lord. He is listening and He will give generously to His precious children who are truly desiring to follow, obey and do His will.

1 John 3:18-24

18 Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. 19 By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our hearts before him; 20 for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything. 21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; 22 and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him. 23 And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us. 24 Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.
