Have you ever looked closely at a snowflake? How each one is unique and complex. A snowflake is a tiny little masterpiece of intricate ice crystals pointing in all directions yet in such symmetrical order, structure, and design.
They say that they are formed around a single particle of dust as it falls through the different levels of the atmosphere. There are 8 basic classifications of their designs and 80 individual variants, and it all depends on the temperature and humidity as they form.
But there never is one snowflake that is exactly like another. Beautiful aren’t they. Just like you are a unique one of a kind.
Over the years and years of history, the number of snowflakes that have fallen would be mind-blowing. How incredible the idea would be that something so complex and so variable yet common could be so rare in form and complexity. Could this all be by chance?
Just as each snowflake is unique, so are you unique. There is no one else in all creation made like you.
This is evidence that there has to be a God with infinite power and creative genius. To conceive of such a thing, design and draft each one to perfection.
But do you believe there is no God? Look around at creation, living things, and the vastness of the Universe!
What a masterpiece! Just look at the sunrise and sunset, constantly changing all around the world, a never-ending masterpiece painted in the sky by the very hand and artistry of God.
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. Psalm 19:1-3
How powerful and wise He must be. How righteous and good He would have to be.
Yes, He is Good, as in moral perfection. So good that He must display His justice and judgment to those who do evil, and He does. If He is Just that means He has to judge Evil.
The question I pose to you, “is are you good?” “Good enough to be granted heaven as a reward when you die, when you leave this world?”
Did you know that right and wrong, good and evil, are written upon your heart? God is the one who put it there. Many call it your conscience.
Think about this next paragraph to see if you really are good.
Have you ever lied? Saying something that is not true, in any form is lying.
It is written, “You Shall Not Lie!”
Have you ever stolen anything? If you have taken anything that was not yours to take, that is stealing. It doesn’t matter if it was of great value or very small.
It is written, “You Shall Not Steal!”
Have you ever disobeyed your parents? No matter what the reason God commands you to honor your father and mother. This is the only Law with a promise that our lives will be better if we obey and honor our parents.
“Honor our Father and Mother, that it may go well with you!”
Have you always Loved God with all your Heart Soul Mind and Strength? This is the first commandment, and God says that no one has obeyed this one.
“For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
“For there is no one righteous, no not one.” Romans 3:10
These are only 4 of the 10 Commandments, God’s Law. If you are honest with yourself, you will admit that you have broken God’s Law. They can be found in Exodus 20.
If we went through all of them we would find that all of us have broken most of them in some way, whether in action or thought.
Yes, Jesus even says that our thought life can be a sin or a breaking of God’s Law.
Jesus also talked about adultery, lust, murder, and hate.
Matthew 5:21-30 ” You have heard it said of old you shall not murder, but I say to you, if you hate your brother you have committed murder in your heart already”. Jesus also said, “You have heard it of old, you shall not commit adultery, but I say to you, anyone who looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery in their heart already.”
If you have hated someone or lusted after someone in your heart, that would make you a murderer and or an adulterer. We can plainly see that none of us are Good, all of us have.
You are a criminal in God’s eyes. You have broken His Law the Ten Commandments.
Because God is good, He is also just and righteous, He has to judge, and punish sin.
One day you will die and you will have to face God and He will find you guilty and have to sentence you to Hell which is His prison for sinners to be punished for their sins for all eternity.
“But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.” Romans 2:5
Does that bother you? Does that scare you? It should! I don’t want you to go to such a horrible place as Hell.
And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, Hebrews 9:27
But I have GOOD NEWS!! God sent His only son Jesus Christ to the earth 2000 years ago to suffer, die, and take the entire Wrath of God upon himself to pay for your sins and mine.
This means that God can legally dismiss your case.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
Then Jesus rose from the dead and defeating death.
Today, there are three things you need to do: Confess your sins to God, Repent, which means turning away from your life of sin, and trust fully in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. If you do that from your heart,
God promises to forgive you of all your sins and give you eternal life in Heaven as a free gift. He is waiting for you to turn and repent.
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
There is a God that created the Universe and all Creation cries out and proclaims that He does exist.
He says that if you seek Him with all your heart you will find Him and He will save you from an eternity of suffering. Your sins will be paid for, one way or the other, either by Jesus or by you, you will pay for them for all eternity in Hell.
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the LORD, Jeremiah 29:12-14
Please consider this! It is more important than all the riches in the world. The only thing you will take from this world into eternity is your eternal soul.
Make this decision today before you sleep you may not wake up tomorrow, and make your eternal destination Heaven sure!
