Have you ever thought, “this life is so difficult and confusing; I wish there were an instruction manual on how to live?” Did you know that there is an instruction manual for life? God, Himself has left us His Word, the Bible, as an instruction book that you may know how to live in such a way that honors Him.
If you have a question about anything, go to the Bible, it is the Word of God. It has an answer to every question you could ever ask, to every problem known to man. The Lord has given you His Word to instruct, teach, guide, discipline, and correct you in every conceivable way.
Most importantly, it will guide you on how God can forgive your sins, receive God’s love, and save you from the consequences of those sins. No greater or more comprehensive book can guide and direct your life’s path to true success than the Bible. When I say true success, I mean true righteous endeavors upon the path God planned for you.
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Every word written in the Bible is the word given by Jesus, spoken through the Holy Spirit to those who wrote it down. Every page in the Old Testament points forward to Jesus Christ. Every word written in the New Testament points back to Jesus Christ. Also, anyone instructed by the Spirit of the Lord in this age still points to the one and only savior, Jesus Christ.
He is the source of salvation and how to be connected to God. He is the focal point of the Bible. His words are true, wise, practical, and profound. He speaks to your heart if you are willing to listen.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6
And behold, a lawyer stood up to put Him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus said to him, “What is written in the Law? How do you read it?” And He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” And Jesus said to him, “You have answered correctly; do this, and you will live.” Luke 10:25-28
What was meant by the saying, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself?” In this statement, the lawyer gives a complete summary of the entire Bible. It is a comprehensive instruction manual on how you are to live. If you love God, you will love others.
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. You know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” John 14:15-17
Every commandment the Lord has given has to do with love, love, God, and others. If you love one another, you will obey His commandments and not break them. But if not, you will sin. Sins, for example, are lying, stealing, murdering, coveting, committing idolatry, adultery, hatred, cheating, and more.
And Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40
If you love the Lord, you will love others. If you honor the Lord, you will honor others. If you seek to obey the Lord, you will obey His commands and do good to others. In every way you can imagine, the Word of God will lead, guide, and direct your steps to do what is good if you are willing to let it and listen to His instruction. So then, if you listen to the Lord and do what He commands, your thoughts, words, and actions toward all mankind will be good and acceptable to Him.
If you do not know, obeying the Lord’s laws will not save your soul; Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father. Trusted only in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior with genuine repentance, through faith, will save you from Hell. He promises to give you eternal life’s best gift if you do these things.
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes and is justified, and with the mouth, one confesses and is saved. Romans 10:5-10
If you are reading this and you have realized you have tried everything else but have not read the Bible or trusted completely in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Do it today. Repent and turn away from your sinful lifestyle.
Hell is real; it is the wages you earn for a sinful way of life. It is not a party where you will have fun with all your friends, that is a lie. It is a horrible place of punishment. Satan has cultivated Hell as a great place to go or not being real to deceive people because he desires to lie, kill, and destroy you in any way he can.
I am reaching out to you with the truth, no matter how uncomfortable it may feel. Jesus is God and died for your sins. Jesus wants to forgive you and show His love and mercy. He will lead you on the path of life that brings eternal rewards. Through the Word of God, He will guide you every step of the way.
What is most important is to realize that you have broken God’s Law, the Ten Commandments. Who has not lied, stolen, lusted, hated, coveted, disobeyed their parents, and not loved God with all their heart, Soul, mind, and strength? Did you know that He sees you as a criminal because of disobedience? But Jesus wants to give you a pardon for your crimes.
God loves you so much that He sent Jesus to die on the cross for you. You broke the Law, but Jesus paid your fine. He has made a way so He can dismiss your case. But you have to repent and turn from your sins. You must believe, follow, and obey Jesus for the rest of your life with full faith and trust.
God is speaking to you if you feel your heart stir right now. I encourage you not to delay. Don’t wait; repent and believe in Jesus for your salvation. You don’t know what day you will die because it will be too late on that day. Cry out to the Lord Jesus for forgiveness. Call to Him, seek Him with all your heart.
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the LORD, Jeremiah 29:12-14
