God Seated Upon His Throne

The Lord God is a God who needs nothing from anyone, yet He desires the devotion of His creation. He is a God seated on His throne in complete sovereignty, Yet He calls those who will give up their lives to be heirs to His kingdom. He sees everything from beginning to end; not one thought does He not see, and even though this is true, He still gives us the free will to choose His ways or the world, good or evil.

Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. Hebrews 4:13

Those who come willingly and give up what is of this world will be significantly rewarded. But those who rage against the Lord or even do not care will pay for their sins. There is only one hope of salvation: through His son Jesus Christ.

The forces of evil try to stand against Him, but they are to no avail. Even if the whole of every nation of all time and the entire forces of darkness came against God, they would not make a dent. He is seated with no worry or fear of them but laughs at their feebleness.

“Though all the world of demons and men unite to fight against Him, it would have less effect than a single mite beating its head against a world of granite. ” Paul Washer

He is a God who doesn’t live in our human-made structures, yet He dwells within the bodies and souls of men. He cares for every soul. He cares enough to cause us enough suffering that we may turn to Him for hope, peace, and forgiveness. Because it is not the Lord who turns away, but it is us who turn to sin.

The Lord says, “Repent therefore and be restored to a whole relationship with me.” Follow and obey Jesus Christ so that you may be healed and forgiven. Your entire purpose in life is to follow, obey, worship, and seek the Lord God with every fiber of your being. To lay down your life, giving every single aspect to Him. The question is, are you willing to give up everything for Him? Do you understand that this is very serious? Your eternity weighs in the balance upon your decision.

For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my (Jesus) sake will find it. Matthew 16:25

Consider that there is nothing more important, nothing else of greater urgency, nothing in this world that has more eternal value than your eternal soul. There is no greater question than where you will spend eternity. You have a choice, good or evil, God’s ways or your own. I can tell you right now. Your way will lead to nothing good. It actually leads to hell. Many argue that we can’t choose, so why try? But God has laid the decision before all mankind to do good or evil, to choose life or death.

So it is up to you, although God knows what you will choose before you do. Every soul of man has a choice to live or perish, depending on whether they turn to Jesus Christ or not. Because we all deserve justice and punishment for every sin we have committed. People will not be saved unless they turn to Him in humility and repentance. The Holy Spirit must change them through understanding and belief in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

So seek Jesus and His righteousness, know Him, obey Him, give Him everything, and lose your life for His sake. He is God. He is seated on the throne of Heaven. Even though He holds supreme power, He humbled Himself and came in the likeness of man. He lived, died, and rose again for your lost soul, for anyone willing to lose their life to gain eternal life through Him.

Make the choice right now, turn from sin, and follow Jesus. He will give you so much more in return for your sacrifice. Like spiritual rags to riches, blessed instead of cursed, light instead of darkness, and life instead of death. I am not necessarily speaking of the things of this world. Still, much better things, such as the fruit of the Spirit God will give you: joy, peace, comfort, love, and eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything since He Himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything.

And He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps find their way toward Him and find Him. Yet He is actually not far from each one of us, for “‘In Him, we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “‘For we are indeed His offspring.’ Acts 17:24-28
