Hope Awaits

But the LORD is the true God; He is the living God and eternal King. The earth quakes at His wrath, and the nations cannot endure His indignation. Jeremiah 10:10

There is great trouble coming for all those who do wickedness. Not just those who do great acts of evil such as murder and rape but even those who lie, cheat, or steal. God’s Law carries equal condemnation for all who break it, yet with different levels of severity for worse offenders. You better believe God’s judgment will be more on point than our legal system, with pinpoint accuracy.

I am bringing this up today to warn you to turn away from sin, repent and turn to Jesus for the forgiveness of your crimes against God, which for most of us is an unnumerable amount built up over a lifetime.

But God did not leave us to be locked up for eternity without a chance for redemption. He sent His son, Jesus, to die on the cross for your sins. Jesus took the punishment that you deserve for your sins. He rose again, defeating sin and death so that you may be free, healed, and live instead of being condemned to God’s prison we have all heard of called Hell.

But you must humble yourself before God and admit your sins with sorrow for breaking His Law and offending His righteousness. Turn to Him, and He will turn to you. Cry out to Jesus for help and forgiveness, and He will forgive you and heal the wounds you have obtained due to your sin and the atrocities done to you your whole life.

You see, Jesus loves you and desires to give you good things, hope, and joy for the future and life everlasting in eternity. You are never too far away from Him because He is always right behind you, waiting for you to turn and repent. Then He promises to forgive and accept you as His child as a part of His family.

Please don’t wait until it is too late and you hear God’s sentence of condemnation for your life of rebellion. But run after Jesus with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength that He may say, “Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, and I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.”

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already because He has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.” John 3:16
