Love one another and do good to everyone you meet. If you love others, you are obeying the Lord’s command. It is proof that you are walking in the Truth, in the light of His word. Evidence that you not only are loved by God, but known by God.
Love is giving, compassion, patience, and kindness toward others, both the good and the bad. Love one another because God first loved you, and sent you out to be His ambassadors. Reaching out to the lost with love and compassion, leading them to true life. A life lived devoted to Jesus Christ our Lord.
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:7-8
When you love with a true and sincere heart without expecting anything in return. No matter who it is or what they have done. You are truly fulfilling and obeying His commands.
But if you speak the truth without love and act without compassion for that broken and lost person, the work you have done is worth nothing in the Lord’s eyes.
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
Give and it will be given to you, be merciful and you will be shown mercy. Love and love will be poured out upon you. Your Father in heaven has shown you, great love, even though your sins were many Christ died for you.
How much more should we show love and kindness to those who have not yet heard and received the forgiveness of God.
This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you.
No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. These things I command you, so that you will love one another. John 15:12-17
