Many people believe that they see and understand everything that is around them. They think they are very wise and knowledgeable. But the Lord says, “the devil has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and turn, and I would heal them.” So I say to you, turn to Jesus that you may be able to see and your heart may understand what is true. Look and examine what the Lord is doing in this wicked world, in this evil era. See and examine what is before you with His wisdom, insight, and understanding.
Though it looks like the wicked are winning, the Lord has been working behind the scenes as a master strategist. He is shining His light on all that is dark, revealing it from the government, Hollywood, the music industry, secret organizations, and even churches that have been hiding in darkness for generations. So be assured the wicked will fall in the end, and the righteous will stand unscathed in the presence of the Lord.
God is chasing the wicked out into the open for all to see, exposing them to exactly what they have always been. Yet many do not see this or believe it is true. So watch yourself carefully and beware of those who are deceiving multitudes.
But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Ephesians 5:13-17
Be careful about whom you trust. Pay attention to who you rely upon and who you place your confidence in. For many, these last days are not what they seem. They walk in their own understanding and their own wisdom and spirit. Their speech may be smooth, praising God with their lips while hiding sins and wicked acts, with hearts covered by a blanket of deception. They have become adulterous in the eyes of God, forsaken, and cast off.
The godly has perished from the earth, and there is no one upright among mankind; they all lie in wait for blood, and each hunts the other with a net. Their hands are on what is evil to do it well; the prince and the judge ask for a bribe, and the great man utters the evil desire of his soul; thus, they weave it together.
The best of them is like a brier, the most upright of them a thorn hedge. The day of your watchmen, of your punishment, has come; now their confusion is at hand. Put no trust in a neighbor; have no confidence in a friend; guard the doors of your mouth from her who lies in your arms; Micah 7:2-5
Submit yourselves to God in all your ways, and do not idolize any in place of the Lord. Do not esteem man, beast, spirit, or word greater than the Lord God Almighty. Devote yourself to Christ Jesus and the instruction of His Word through His Spirit. In these last days of wickedness, it will be hard to follow the Lord, but you must.
You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you suppose it is to no purpose that the Scripture says, “He yearns jealously over the spirit that He has made to dwell in us”? But He gives more grace.
Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Submit yourselves, therefore, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you. James 4:4-10
