The Lord knows what He is doing. The One who made all things hears the cries of His servants. The One who made the eye sees, the One who made the ear hears, the One who made the mouth speaks, and the One who created the universe with a word will act.
“At the right time, I, the LORD, will make it happen.” Isaiah 60:22
He will not let them go unpunished. He has great purpose and wonders in store for those who are disciplined by His hand and great wrath prepared for those who disobey. He is doing something that no one could imagine through it all and causing gifts to be poured out on His servants due to their endurance through pain and hardship.
It will be worth it all, for the Lord God almighty.
Discipline increases faith, faith brings maturity, and maturity develops confidence in the Lord and confidence instills determination for godly pursuits. You will set your eye and your focus on the Lord Jesus Christ. You will put your hand to the plow to do His work, and you will not look back or listen to any other voice.
Please understand, if He did not allow the pressing for training, you would not have been prepared for what is ahead. If He did not discipline and beat you, you would have not been purged from your sin. But because of His loving discipline you have grown, matured, and developed great strength over evil, against the wiles and schemes of the devil.
Blessed is the one whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty. For He wounds, but He also binds up; He injures, but His hands also heal. Job 5:17-18
Wait upon Him and leave vengeance against the wicked to Him. He will pay them back for all their wickedness. Their day is coming. They will get their just retribution, in the end, all according to His will and plan. When it happens they will be no more. But the righteous will shine forever.
Follower of Christ, keep seeking the Lord, keep honoring Him, and worshiping Him. Keep pressing on to the upward goal set by the Father with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. He will keep you safe, guide, and provide for your every step of the way. “For the Lord will not forsake His people.”
O Lord, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked exult? They pour out their arrogant words; all the evildoers boast. They crush your people, O Lord, and afflict your heritage. They kill the widow and the sojourner, and murder the fatherless; and they say, “The Lord does not see; the God of Jacob does not perceive.”
Understand, O dullest of the people! Fools, when will you be wise? He who planted the ear, does He not hear? He who formed the eye, does He not see? He who disciplines the nations, does He not rebuke? He who teaches man knowledge the Lord knows the thoughts of man, that they are but a breath.
Blessed is the man whom you discipline, O Lord, and whom you teach out of your law, to give him rest from days of trouble until a pit is dug for the wicked.
For the Lord will not forsake His people; He will not abandon His heritage; for justice will return to the righteous, and all the upright in heart will follow it. Psalm 94:3-15
