The Lord Himself will search out His lost sheep. Yes, the Lord God will seek out all His precious ones. No matter where they may wander. No matter how far you have gone, the Lord God Himself will pursue you even if you have been running the other way.
And Jesus said, “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’ Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.” Luke 15:4-7
Out of the pit of despair, out of the miry clay, the wilderness of depravity, and out of this sinful world. He will lift you up and place you on a firm foundation. Relentless is His pursuit of those He loves. Yes, relentless He will seek you out. The beloved of His heart that has gone astray. Cry out to Him and He will hear and find you.
I waited patiently for the LORD; He inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the LORD. Psalm 40:1-3
You who have been driven into the wilderness, as sheep are scattered by wolves. Lost, destitute, and alone with nowhere to turn. Do not fear the Lord sees you, He knows where you are, and where He will bring you from there. Turn to Him and He will turn to you.
The Lord will seek, the Lord will pursue, and He will find His lost sheep. Though you resist with stubbornness, rebellion, and a stiff neck at times He will not give up His pursuit. He will not give up on you. So do not give up on Him. Just at the right time, He will find you, He will break you down, and bring you back to the place He has destined you to be. In His loving arms.
For at just the right time, while we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Romans 5:6
He will bind up your wounds, comfort, heal, clothe, and care for His beloved ones. With great love and compassion, tenderness, and loving kindness, He heals the cripple, deaf, mute, and rejected.
He will feed you with all good things. He will strengthen you from the inside out with His tender hand. Instruction, correction, and discipline will be His way of bringing you into a proper position before Him, to those who humble themselves before Him. This is His way He makes the weak strong, the lost found, and the feeble a mighty warrior. He restores, renews, and promotes His humble and willing sheep when they cry out to Him. Have hope, turn to the Lord, and praise the Lord God Almighty for His relentless pursuit.
“For thus says the Lord God: Behold, I, I myself will search for my sheep and will seek them out. As a shepherd seeks out his flock when he is among his sheep that have been scattered, so will I seek out my sheep, and I will rescue them from all places where they have been scattered on a day of clouds and thick darkness.
And I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries and will bring them into their own land. And I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the ravines, and in all the inhabited places of the country.
I will feed them with good pasture, and on the mountain heights of Israel shall be their grazing land. There they shall lie down in good grazing land, and on rich pasture, they shall feed on the mountains of Israel.
I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I myself will make them lie down, declares the Lord God. I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the injured, and I will strengthen the weak, and the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them in justice.” Ezekiel 34:11-16
