Are You Rooted In The Lord

Those who are true followers of Jesus Christ have many things that no one else on earth has, hope, peace, love, and joy even in our sufferings. Even more than that we have the Holy Spirit of God given to dwell within us. Oh, how He speaks comfort, understanding, wisdom, and instruction to our hearts.

Now, this doesn’t mean that you will never become sad, suffer pain, struggle, or are without tears.  But realize God’s hand is upon you every day, and in every situation in your life. He is pressing you down, teaching you good lessons, instructing you, causing you to grow closer to Him, and become rooted deeply within Him.

He increases your endurance, strengthens your trust in Him in everything and in every way. He is producing an increase of the Spirit within. All for the work He has planned out for you to accomplish.

Increasing your faith, trust, and reliance on God. Increasing your understanding, wisdom, and knowledge in Him and of Him.

Just like a tree planted by a stream. He is driving your roots deep, making your trunk strong, and your branches to stretch out wide, increasing your realm of influence. Growing you ever stronger in the Lord

Psalm 1:1-3

1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; 2 but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. 3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.

So when the buffeting winds of trials, tests, struggles, and persecutions beat down upon you. You will stand strong like an oak with roots as mighty as its branches are tall! You will not be moved!

Romans 5:1-8

1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoiced in hope of the glory of God.

3 Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, 5 and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

6 For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— 8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
