Jesus Christ Is King

Though the earth is shaken and the mountains be moved into the sea. Though the peoples of the earth dwell in utter darkness and continue in their sin. Jesus Christ is the King. He shines bright and rules supreme over all creation. His everlasting position will stand firm forevermore.

Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days, He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed the heir of all things, through whom also He created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature, and He upholds the universe by the word of His power. Hebrews 1:1-3

He came to be so much more than just any baby born in a manager. But to be the King. He is the King of kings and Lord of lords, the bread of life, the prince of peace, the light of the world, and the Word of God. King Jesus.

In the beginning, was the Word(Jesus), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:1-5

He came so that all mankind would have the opportunity to be saved. That they could be freed of all the bonds that hold them fast by the deceitfulness of the devil. That their spirits and souls may be freed to glorify the God of Heaven.

He came to give sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, and life to the dead in spirit. To revive the dead to life even to everlasting life to all those who believe in Jesus Christ. To everyone who repents and turns from their sins. To those who chose to abandon all else to follow and obey His every command. To those, He calls the Sons of God.

But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12-13

He is your God who took on the lowly form of a baby. He came to be a servant to all and a perfect sacrifice to pay the punishment we all deserve for our sins. He died, rose again, and ascended on high. But He is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God in Heaven. No longer to be subservient but the King of all.

But of the Son, He says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions.” Hebrews 1:8-9

Then once again He will come and judge the earth in righteousness. He will divide the good from the bad and pour out the Lord’s righteous wrath on all those who refuse to turn from their own wicked ways. That time is drawing very close. He will not be like a lamb for the slaughter. He will not come as a sacrifice to be trampled upon.

But He will come as a mighty King. A valiant warrior. A magnificent and powerful Lord, to destroy the wicked in everlasting punishment. He is coming to reward the righteous for all their valiant deeds. He will rule and reign over all the earth forevermore.

Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of Him. Even so. Amen. “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:7-8

May you turn your face toward this great King of kings, who is Jesus Christ the Lord. May you repent of all your past sins and rebellions and forever put your faith and trust in this mighty King Jesus. May you forever follow and obey His every command so that you also may enjoy His love, compassion, mercy, and grace to those who hear and obey.

May your heart be filled with great joy, love, and peace on this beautiful day the Lord has made. May the Lord fill your heart with all these things and change you from darkness to light. May you walk in the boldness and the power of His Spirit to proclaim His soul-saving Gospel until He does come again. May He find you faithful and obedient on that great and awesome day.

“Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” Revelation 22:12-13

Rejoice and be very glad for your Saviors’ rules and reigns as King of kings and Lord of lords, and whose rule will never be changed.

The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone. You have multiplied the nation; you have increased its joy; they rejoice before you as with joy at the harvest, as they are glad when they divide the spoil.

For the yoke of his burden and the staff for his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, you have broken as on the day of Midian. For every boot of the tramping warrior in battle tumult and every garment rolled in blood will be burned as fuel for the fire.

For to us, a child is born, to us, a son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and of peace, there will be no end, on the throne of David and over His kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this. Isaiah 9:2-7

that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints.
