A God You Can Trust

The Lord can meet your every need. He owns everything you can see with the eye and everything else you can not. God created everything, has complete control, and holds it together. But often, He concentrates His power and all-encompassing riches into forming you into His image. To Him, it is more important to refine your character by allowing suffering, tests, trials, and pain into your life. There are many lessons He needs you to learn. God has many improvements in mind and desires to make you more like Him in thought, word, and deed.

Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. Philippians 2:12-13

God indeed is for you and with you, my dear Brothers and Sisters. Even though chastisement and discipline are incredibly crushing at times, remember the Lord has a great purpose for your pain. Great strength, wisdom, and understanding are born from adversity and pain.

You may fear that the Lord has passed you by, but it is not so: He who counts the stars and calls them by their names, is in no danger of forgetting His own children. He knows your case as thoroughly as if you were the only creature He ever made or the only saint He ever loved. Approach Him and be at peace. Charles Spurgeon

In comfortable and joyous times, He is also with you. He is there, desiring that you seek Him every moment. We often forget that God never leaves us in times of struggle, hardship, and difficulty. But He is working close to your side, well ahead of you; though you may not know it, He is there.

The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous, and His ears toward their cry. The face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth. When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Psalms 34:15-18

Never does He leave you or forsake you; He doesn’t waste a moment to teach, correct, and instruct you. To do the miraculous work of molding, shaping, and crafting you into His image. Open your eyes to see His works, and open your ears to hear His voice.

How wonderful is our Lord? He is consistently working to make you into what you should be. God performs His work to craft you into exactly what He always intended. What He created you to be. He knows what is right, good, and best for you. Trust Him.

See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason, the world does not know us because it did not know Him.

Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him because we will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. 1 John 3:1-3

Yes, He loves you this much. In the ups and downs of life, the rising and falling, and the mountain tops of joy, we celebrate His faithfulness. Even in the valley’s darkness, you can know He is there with you. So give Him praise even in the hardest of times because He is using that for your good and His glory. He will provide you with a song of praise in your heart and a feeling of joy, peace, and rest for your soul at the right time to help you along the way.

For, He is a good Father. He does everything well, never making even one mistake or misstep. Compassionate, caring, and loving forever more towards His children in everything He does.

That is a God you can lean on. That is a God you can put your complete faith in. That is a God you can trust with every ounce of strength you can muster for all eternity. So put your faith in Him completely and devote yourself to His will. He will lead and guide you in the right way to go. He will keep you safe and give you rest from your worry. He is in control.

For this reason, I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of His glory, He may grant you to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being,

so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:14-21
