Watch Out

Watch out for those who cause division. Beware of those who have an appearance of godliness but inwardly are ravenous wolves. The Lord Jesus spoke of them and said, “I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock;”  For in these last days there are many deceivers and wicked people that have come and will continue to come until the Lord’s return.

They have been sent by the Evil one to deceive, tempt, and drag many away from the true faith in God. Be alert and be watchful! Watch yourself carefully that you do not follow their ways. If you do not walk in the Spirit of God continually in this dark and wicked day you may fall to their temptations to follow along with their gossiping lips, abusiveness, ungratefulness, unholiness, and wicked ways.

But keep yourself holy and pure, looking to the Lord and His word for your strength, refuge, and hope. Rebuke those who do wrong and especially those who try to get you to follow along with their wrong doing.

Follow the Lord, cleans your hearts, purify your minds, cast the wickedness far away from you, stand apart, and most importantly trust in the Lord in all your ways and lean not on your own understanding. Then the Lord Himself will lead you, He will guide you, He will direct your steps, He will pick you up as a father picks up His child, and He will protect you. For His loving kindness for His children is everlasting.

2 Timothy 3:1-7

1 But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. 2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, 4 treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. 6 For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, 7 always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.

Jude 1:20-21

20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.
