We lift our hearts and hands to the Lord and cry out to Him for all the violence and wickedness on the earth. So many times, we become frustrated that criminals seem to get away with their crimes, and we see no justice in our nation. People are oppressed, abused, and murdered, and those guilty of great crimes are not held accountable. But remember, God is in control. He will not let any crime go unpunished.
We cry, “O LORD, how long shall I cry for help, and you will not hear? Or cry to you “Violence!” and you will not save? Why do you make me see iniquity, and why do you idly look at wrong? Destruction and violence are before me; strife and contention arise. So the law is paralyzed, and justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous, so justice goes forth perverted.
But The Lord Answers “Look among the nations, and see; wonder and be astounded. For I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told. Habakkuk 1:2-5
The Lord knows what He is doing and why He has allowed all these things to come upon the earth. He is in complete control and orchestrating His perfect plan to repay the wicked for what they have done. They are filling up their punishment to full measure. Yet, He will save the poor and raise the righteous in His time.
Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth. Do you not perceive it? Isaiah 43:19
It is all for His glory and praise that He moves in His own ways. No man will get praise or accolades for accomplishing His perfect plan. Yet, the faithful servant of the Lord who followed Him by faith will receive their reward.
I am the LORD, and there is no other, besides Me, there is no God; I equip you, though you do not know Me, that people may know, from the rising of the sun and from the west, that there is none besides Me; I am the LORD, and there is no other. Isaiah 45:5-6
You must understand that God is much wiser than you could ever imagine. He is like a Master Chess player who sees every move of the enemy before he has made a single one. So be confident in His wisdom; God has already defeated the wicked. Even though it may seem they have escaped, they have not.
The LORD is high above all nations, and His glory above the heavens! Who is like the LORD our God, who is seated on high, who looks far down on the heavens and the earth? He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap to make them sit with princes, with the princes of His people. Psalm 113:4-8
God will punish the evil and reward the righteous. Therefore, what He has declared to His servants, His true prophets, will come true. So, you can trust His Words.
“Be assured, an evil person will not go unpunished, but the offspring of the righteous will be delivered.” Proverbs 11:21
“For the Lord GOD does nothing without revealing His secret to His servants, the prophets. The Lion has roared; who will not fear? The Lord GOD has spoken; who can but prophesy?” Amos 3:7-8
He will raise up those He has been hiding. Those who He has covered by His mighty hand. Those who have walked through His refiners’ fire to make them pure and holy to be His instruments of righteousness, for the saving of His people, the final gathering to the Lord. Put your complete faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and He will be faithful to you. Live in righteousness and believe in everything He says by faith, even when you can’t see what is ahead.
Do not look to the religious leaders of this age, for many of them are not concerned about the ways of God but of themselves. They will have their day before God and reap what they have sown, whatever that may be. But walk in the Spirit and power of the Lord and in the strength of His might. He has spoken, and it will come to pass.
A wicked man puts on a bold face, but the upright gives thought to his ways. No wisdom, no understanding, no counsel can avail against the LORD. The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the LORD. Proverbs 21:29-31
