The Magnanimous God

Rejoice and be very glad in the joy of the Lord, for He rescues His chosen. He restores, comforts, soothes, and heals those He loves. The Lord Himself will pour over you great joy. All that you have suffered and endured will be put behind you. There will be a day when it is gone and you will never have to worry about it again. Remember that the Lord is the God who gives strength to the weak and lifts up the humble from the dirt.

The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. Glad songs of salvation are in the tents of the righteous: “The right hand of the Lord does valiantly, the right hand of the Lord exalts, the right hand of the LORD does valiantly!”

I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the Lord. The Lord has disciplined me severely, but He has not given me over to death. Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them and give thanks to the Lord. Psalm 118:14-19

The Lord is your Restorer, Yahweh El Ashiyb. The Lord is your Healer, Jehovah Rapha. The Lord is your Provider, Jehovah Jireh. The Lord is your Peace, Jehovah Shalom. He is your God, Elohim. He is the Lord God Almighty, El Shaddai, He is the Most High God, El Elyon, and He is your Master, Adoni!

Look up to the Heavens. Look up to the Lord who has done all these mighty things for you, who has done great and beautiful wonders. So much you don’t even know. He is magnificent, He is mighty, He is miraculous, and He is magnanimous! You may not have heard that word before but magnanimous means; generous or forgiving, especially toward a rival or less powerful person.

Praise Him and shout for joy, for He is magnanimous towards those who do not deserve His love. He has turned your tears into joy and your sorrow into gladness. No more will you weep and wail. No more will you wallow in misery and shame. But the Lord God has filled your heart with love and hope. The Spirit of the Lord brings peace, joy, and rest to all those called by His name.

Go on up to a high mountain, O Zion, herald of good news; lift up your voice with strength, O Jerusalem, herald of good news; lift it up, fear not; say to the cities of Judah, “Behold your God!” Behold, the Lord GOD comes with might, and His arm rules for Him;

Behold, His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him. He will tend His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs in His arms; He will carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those that are with young. Isaiah 40:9-11

The Lord will in no way forget His children. He will never forsake His chosen. He will forge the path He has established for them. He will not let them fall or be put to shame forevermore. Strengthen your weak hands and make firm your wobbling knees. Your God is not a God of weakness or a God who can not see. He is the God with unlimited power, unsearchable vision, unfathomable wisdom, and unchangeable position.

They shall see the glory of the Lord, the majesty of our God. Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who have an anxious heart, “Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.” Isaiah 35:2-4
