The Spirit Of Wisdom

We do not stand on our own words or ideas regarding the Word of God. We stand on the wisdom and understanding of the Spirit of the Lord. Many people have come up with a multitude of ideas, but the wise get their wisdom from God. Even those behind the pulpit have declared things, but we must search to see if it is from God’s truth or the truth crafted by men.

I pray that as I desire to increase in God’s wisdom, you do too and follow Jesus in relying on His ways and not the traditions of men and things taught by the knowledge that comes from men. Looking at all the world religions, we can see that many of their concepts are incompatible with the Word of God. They can argue their case and give sources, but it is false if it does not align with His Word.

God is the authority of all things true. His Spirit is our guide to know and learn what is right and wrong, and He is our instructor and a revealer of mysteries. Just go to the Bible, and you will find that 29 clear scientific facts were stated in the Bible thousands of years before scientists discovered them, from facts about blood to the stars to scientific principles. If you want wisdom, the Spirit of the Lord is the source.

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. John 14:26

The Spirit of God brings life, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and revelation. The words we write down have no power unless they are of the Spirit and by the Spirit of God.

Take a close look at what you have been taught in the church. Scrutinize it to see if it matches God’s teaching in His Word. Look at it in the light of who God is and who He has always been. Because God never changes His ways. It would be unwise to believe the word of another just because he is a popular teacher, preacher, or priest of a religious organization.

Consult with the Spirit of the Lord. Searching the scriptures to see if what is being taught is true. Many times, there are things that you believe to be a fact that are, in fact, fiction. Be like the Bereans and be wise and noble. Don’t just believe it because a church leader says it. Seek the Lord to show you what is true.

Now, these Jews(Bereans) were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the Word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so. Acts 17:11

Mere knowledge of the scriptures without the Spirit is dangerous. Without the insight and wisdom of God, it causes the formation of practices and traditions that are not right and lead many down the wrong path for decades or even centuries. A way that God never intended for us to follow.

Many teachers in this age are teaching the doctrines of demons. They may not even know the devil designed them to draw people away from God instead of toward Him. They are principles taught by those who do not understand what they are discussing. Be very careful not to listen to them, but ask the Lord for discernment so you will recognize true from false.

Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared, 1 Timothy 4:1-2

The understanding and interpretations that are true come from God. The Spirit of the Lord is your instructor. He gives true wisdom. A wise man or woman will carefully check it with the Lord before moving forward with whatever they receive.

Those taught by God will know God. Those who know God will obey the commands given by God. Those who obey His commandments will speak the truth of God no matter who thinks otherwise. They will not be swayed when men of seemingly high rank come against them because they stand boldly in the truth of the God they serve. Those who speak the truth of God will be spoken of with honor by Jesus Himself, even if they are looked at as fools by the world. So, who would you rather be honored and esteemed by? Men or God. It is your choice.

Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, as some do, letters of recommendation to you or from you? You yourselves are our letter of recommendation, written on our hearts, to be known and read by all. And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 2 Corinthians 3:1-6
