The Wisdom Of God

Someday the Lord will be revealed from Heaven in all His blazing Glory. He is coming to this world to bring His final judgment to all those who did not follow and obey Him. He is coming for the wicked, even the false in the church who pretended to be His follower. Yes, a reward for the righteous, but retribution for those who do evil. None will escape or be able to say one word against Him, for His true presence will make them fall and fade like dry grass, like wax to a furnace.

But even now, it seems that the wicked, in all their worldly wisdom, have control over the whole earth. The Lord’s hand is stretched out in His wisdom to make fools of the wise in this world and blind the eyes of the rebellious so that they may fall into their traps. He will confound and destroy their evil schemes.

For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 1 Corinthians 1:25

Even now, He is so many steps ahead of them. He sees the beginning at the same time as the end. When His hammer of justice comes crashing down, when the fire of judgment comes raging at their door, they will be astonished and aghast, saying, “Where did this come from!” When they spew their words and call it a word from the Lord, yet have not heard a whisper from Him, does it not fall flat?

Is not My word like fire, declares the LORD, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, declares the LORD, who steal My words from one another. Behold, I am against the prophets, declares the LORD, who use their tongues and declare, ‘declares the LORD.’ Jeremiah 23:29-31

Do not think for a moment that the Lord has lost His grip or turned His back. Those who devise schemes, conspire wickedness, and institute evil plans will not escape His righteous indignation, those who hide under a false shroud of self-righteousness. They think they are standing on solid ground, never to fall, but their time is coming to an end.

They trust in their well-thought-out strategies, riches, the high and mighty, and the delusions of their minds. They feel established and confident in the course they have laid out because of the accomplishments they have implemented. Yet, the Lord sees through their deception. Nothing is a surprise to Him. He is one thousand steps ahead of them and will thwart their every step according to His plan. God will bring their short reign to an end.

For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward Him. You have done foolishly in this, for from now on you will have wars. 2 Chronicles 16:9

He looks favorably only to those with a pure and blameless heart. Those who truly know Him and are called by His name. Those who put Jesus first. Be strengthened and revive your spirit. Trust in the Lord God Almighty. He will deal righteous indignation to those who are false and wicked and deserve all they have earned.

God has chosen the weak and foolish of this world to shame the wise and powerful. He has chosen the small and insignificant to confound the proud and arrogant. He will be victorious, and He will vindicate His servants. They will rise, and the false will be baffled how it could have happened.

For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, 

so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. And because of Him, you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:25-31
