Who Is The Faithful Servant

Who is the one that the Lord will be pleased with? Who will He praise as faithful when He returns? The servant that lives a life of continual servitude to their Lord and Master Jesus Christ and who obeyed the will of the Father. The one who keeps the Lord’s ways, commands, and precepts will please the Lord. The one that encourages one another loves the unlovable and diligently works to build the Kingdom of Heaven. In other words, the one who follows the leading of the Holy Spirit of God and does not focus on themselves but on others.

Also, the one who keeps moving forward in faith no matter what dark valleys or storms they walk through. The one who keeps trusting and obeying the Lord, though they can not see anything through the midst of the struggle and hardship. Yes, this is the one that our Heavenly Father will praise. He looks favorably upon the humble, righteous, and repentant heart.

His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ Matthew 25:23

Do all you can to please the Father in everything you do. Trust me; it is not easy, but worth it all. Be alert to the opportunities He has placed before you and the work He has prepared for you. God will send many tests and trials to see how faithful and obedient you are to His call. Be determined to do what is good and right. Be faithful right now as you move through life; when the Lord returns, you will be found faithful. Jesus will honor you before God because you honored Him in the presence of men.

And I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man also will acknowledge before the angels of God, Luke 12:8

Each of us has a different job given to us by the Lord as a part of the body of Christ. Work heartily at the job God gave you to do. Be vigilant to do your best at what He has placed you on this earth to do, always seeking to improve yourself daily. Remember, as they say, “Rome was not built in a day.” So, little by little, you can change and be what God intended you to be.

Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. But know this that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into.

Therefore, you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom His master has set over His household, to give them their food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom His master will find so doing when He comes. Truly, I say to you, He will set Him over all His possessions. Matthew 24:42-47

Be faithful in every task you set your mind to do. Be ready to bless others when the opportunity arises. Be assured when working for Christ, your work will be rewarded. Work to build the Kingdom of God and not build your kingdom. When men focus on God and His will, lives are changed, and souls are saved.

There is no more significant cause than to do the will of God the Father in Heaven. There is no greater reward than for Him to call you a “good and faithful servant.” Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, help the brokenhearted, be patient with those struggling, help lift the weak, and love those who need love. Make bold the unsure, comfort the lonely, encourage the brotherhood, do good to everyone, and seek to save the lost through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Then the Lord will surely call you His faithful one.

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8
