Oh, to be like David, to always delight in the Lord’s ways. To love God’s laws, commandments, and precepts, meditating on them day and night. The true children of God love the Word of God and receive much pleasure from dwelling in the presence of the King. His ways are like sweetness to the mouth, a delight to the eyes, and exhilaration to the heart.
“But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on His law, he meditates day and night.” Psalm 1:2
Rejoice in the Lord, dwell with Him day and night. Follow Him continually so you may be filled with joy even through your hard times and trials. Because of His care and unmatched love, He will give you joy among the tangles of this life. Then, your genuine desire will be to share it with all, both great and small. The favor and reward of the Lord are beyond belief to those who declare wait upon Him even though it may take much time and struggle to reap the rewards He has waiting for you.
“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” Isaiah 52:7
It is truly a wonderful gift from the Lord to be loved by Him. To receive His love and share it, too. The Lord will bless and love you for your faithful sharing of His Word and Gospel with others. Oh, how we love Him, praise Him, honor Him, and glorify our glorious, majestic, awesome, and powerful God. It will be worth all the hard work you put into doing His will.
Oh, how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day. Your commandment makes me wiser than my enemies, for it is ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the aged, for I keep your precepts.
I hold back my feet from every evil way in order to keep your word. I do not turn aside from your rules, for you have taught me. How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through your precepts, I get understanding; therefore, I hate every false way. Psalm 119:97-104
