Mind Your Surroundings

The follower of Jesus Christ is not only a servant but mighty warriors for the Lord. Ready to do anything the master asks of them. Being humble and lowly in spirit, you will be willing to wash dishes, dig ditches, or mop floors. But a person willing to do anything to help others is a strong soldier enlisted in the ranks of the armies of Heaven because they have conquered the pride of flesh to serve.

God calls you to do an essential job for the Lord. You are more than just a servant, but a friend of Jesus Christ Himself called to wield the weapons of His Spirit to take down demons and devils. To do the work no one else of honor would be willing to do. Remember, the least is the greatest in God’s eyes.

No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing, but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, He may give it to you. John 15:15-16

You are His trusted and mighty men and women of righteousness. In God’s eyes, you are noble, valued, and trustworthy to be placed in high positions of authority and power. It is a dichotomy, the complete opposite of what you think. You are servants on earth but seated as kings and queens in eternity. The one willing to be a servant of all is worthy of being a ruler of nations. Through this understanding, we conquer every wicked force that comes against us in Jesus’ name to be His humble servants.

And Jesus said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions and overall the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.” Luke 10:18

It is time to put down that TV remote and put on the armor of God to fight in the spiritual realms. Pray with power, believe confidently, and act with the authority that only comes through the Lord Jesus Christ. Tear down the strongholds and rescue the lives and souls the devil’s deceitfulness has bound because they are not your enemy. Hold fast to your faith, put on His boldness, and march forward to victory, in Jesus’ name. Using the spiritual weapons of warfare He has given to you.

For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6

Then, stand firm against the wicked schemes of this dark world and the devil. Remember who the enemy is and who it is not. The enemy is not the people but the devil(Satan) and his demons that have bound them. They desire to destroy, but Jesus wants to free them.

The thief (Satan) comes only to steal and kill, and destroy. John 10:10

More is happening around you in the spirit and behind the veil than you could comprehend. There is more demonic attack, oppression, control, possession, and direct onslaught against anything good than you could imagine. So be on constant alert, as if you are in a fierce battle.

You are in the middle of a spiritual battle for the souls of mankind, for the souls of all those around you, and most do not know it. So stand firm in the Lord Jesus Christ and fight in His Spirit with power and confidence. The war’s outcome may already be determined, but many battles are still ahead. God has called His servants to fight the good fight, and He promises to be with you and make you victorious through His name. So press forward, keeping your footing stable, standing on the Rock, Jesus Christ.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace, above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints. Pray for me, that utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News, Ephesians 6:10-19
