Keep Going

There are many times in the life of a believer and follower of Jesus Christ when things don’t seem right. Times when everything and everyone seems to be against you, when a fog of uncertainty completely obscures the road ahead. Seasons where you have to take it one step at a time.

As well as when the constant attacks of others come at you even when you are doing your very best to live righteously according to God’s Word, seeking His guidance daily.

But remember the encouragement from the Apostle Peter, “If necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”

When it comes to obeying God’s will in your life and doing the right thing before your Heavenly Father, you will have to endure many trials that you will not understand. That is until they are over and you have obtained victory over this world, sin, and the temptations of the Devil, perhaps not even until you are with Jesus in Heaven.

But God is faithful to carry you through the trials of life. Remember, He allowed them for your growth and good. To make you more like Him so that you may be better prepared to step out to do the work He has for you and to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ boldly.

Think of what Jesus has done for you. Think of what He can do for others if we have to suffer so they can be saved and healed by His blood and everlasting love. Therefore, I say, “So be it. Father God, may your will be done in my life, whatever may come.”

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

In this, you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:3-9
