This scripture from Isaiah 20 bears witness to the evil world we see daily. It doesn’t take much to see it played out right in front of us in our everyday lives, with the people we meet, on the news, or on our favorite social media platforms. The Word of God told us this day would come in 2 Timothy 3:1-5.
“But understand this, that in the last days, there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.”
Somedays, I scroll videos one after another, and I am shocked at just how unreasonable, abusive, arrogant, and ungodly people are. Not only has common sense gone out the window, but an evil spiritual cloud has enveloped them, taken control of their mind and soul, and blinded their eyes to any semblance of reason or sound judgment.
The truth is that this is the Devil’s plan being fulfilled before our eyes, and most people do not realize what is happening. They go on with their daily lives living in sin, deceived by his deception, and deceiving others by what they believe to be true. But they are living a lie and entirely convinced they are right. Even those who stand behind pulpits in the church proclaim the same things. In their words, they proclaim, “Good is evil and evil is good; can I get an Amen!”
Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 2 Timothy 3:12-13
Look how the Apostle Paul warned that this was going to happen in Acts 20:29-31
I know that after my departure, fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock, and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things to draw away the disciples after them. Therefore, be alert, remembering that for three years, I did not cease night or day to admonish every one with tears.
All we have to do is hold up a single sign on the street or a place of business that speaks the truth, and we will find out quickly that those in this world hate godliness, goodness, and God’s truth. Try walking down the street with a sign that says, “Men cannot become women, and women can never become men.” You may be attacked verbally and physically for just holding the sign silently.
It is time to turn to Jesus Christ, forgive, and endure to the end. It is time to seek after God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. It is time to do as God has commanded. Because every soul on this planet depends on it. Heaven and Hell are the only two options after death, and Jesus Christ is the only gateway that leads to the path to Heaven.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 14:11-12
Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” “Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:3-6
Turn away from the wickedness of this world. Turn away from the lies of the Devil, turn away from the deception of your own heart, and follow and obey the teaching of Jesus Christ. He is the way to know the truth. He is the way to goodness, love, forgiveness, peace, and life after death in Heaven, without evil, pain, suffering, or sorrow.
“And now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did also your rulers. But what God foretold by the mouth of all the prophets, that His Christ would suffer, He (Jesus) thus fulfilled.
Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom Heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets long ago.” Acts 3:17-21
