Do not think in your heart, “The wicked have their reward and prosperity, and the righteous are left in the dirt.” For the Lord sees your goodness and righteousness; He has taken notice of the honest and upright works you have accomplished in His name. He also knows your struggles and hardships, yet your faith has remained strong in His name.
The day of the wicked is coming, as He has said. Even though they continue to pile up their own condemnation, their end will come abruptly. The day is coming for the righteous to be lifted up and rewarded for their wholesome heart, faithful endurance, and the sacrifices they have made for others and to follow the will of the Lord. Never forget what God said: “The righteous will live by faith,” and “But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles.”
Proverbs 24:1-2 Be not envious of evil men, nor desire to be with them, for their hearts devise violence, and their lips talk of trouble.
Psalm 37:7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!
Staying close to the Lord and trusting Him and His plan is better. He is your defense and a rewarder of those who live according to His commands and ways. No matter how hard it gets or how long it takes to walk through the dark valleys of trials and tribulations, eventually, you will emerge into the light of His presence and favor.
Psalm 84:10-12 For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in you!
Trust in the Lord and His plan, for it will bring about what is good for His children and deal a deadly blow to those who walk in the way of falsehood, deception, and wickedness. No good thing will be held back for those who have given everything they had in this world in exchange for the Father’s will to those who kept their faith firmly in Him. God will fulfill what He has promised. No reward will be better than to be honored by Jesus and in the sight of all. Do you doubt it? What does the Word of God declare?
Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.
Revelation 3:4-6 They will walk with me in white, for they are worthy. The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before His angels. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
Matthew 13:41-43 The Son of Man will send His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers, and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.
Be comforted in what the Lord has said. He is the ruler of the Universe. Yes, that includes you and everything the Lord has allowed to happen in your life. If you have put your firm faith in Him and what He has said, be assured that everything will come true. Do not be fearful of men or be envious of the prosperity of the wicked, for they will fall, and the righteous will win in the end. All good things will come to those who love the Lord and are patient for the harvest of the righteous. The years you have waited upon the Lord will be well worth the wait.
Psalm 5:11-12 But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you. For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with favor as with a shield.
Isaiah 61:2-4 To proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called Oaks of Righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations.
Psalm 118:24-26 This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. Save now, I pray, O Lord; O Lord, I pray, send now prosperity. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! We have blessed you from the house of the Lord.
