Give to the Lord

Do you feed the hungry, give to the thirsty, clothe the homeless, visit the poor and the sick, have compassion on the lost and lonely, or visit those in prison? Did you know that God says when you do these things you are really serving the Lord? You are feeding and giving drink to the Lord, clothing, and visiting the Lord, loving and caring for the Lord.

The attitude of your heart is what God sees as important. The condition and position of your heart will spill out through your words and actions. Is it soft, tender, compassionate, and does it care for others? Is it willing to give up and sacrifice itself to give and pour out to help those who are suffering and lost? Do you stretch out your hands wide to those in need not expecting anything in return?

This is what pleases the Lord, what makes Him smile and brim with pride when He looks upon His children. When they are poor in spirit, meek and kind, compassionate and forgiving. When they give to the poor, sick, thirsty, and hungry. When they have put their hand to the plow that turns up the hard soil of the lost heart. When they plant the seeds of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. So they may reap the harvest of everlasting life in the souls of this lost and dying world.

“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. Before Him will be gathered all the nations, and He will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

And He will place the sheep on His right, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’

Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’  Matthew 25:31-40

The Law is like a Schoolmaster

The Law was given to us as a school master, to show us our own sin. Just as in a mirror shows us our physical features clearly. Through the Law we see that we are liars, thieves, lustful, hateful, and disobedient to God in many ways. This is the purpose of the Law. To show us how impossible it is to obey and fulfill the Law.

Though we have the Law still and we should obey the Law, because it is God’s command. We are not saved by the Law. For if it saved us there would have been no reason for Jesus to come, and to become the perfect sacrifice for our sins. But we look to it as an example for us of how to live holy and righteous lives.

We are saved by our Faith and live upon our Faith in Christ who is the Son of God.  We are law breakers and Jesus Christ is our redeemer, who paid a great price. The steep cost that had to be paid, to satisfy the righteous wrath of God, for the punishment we deserve for our sins. He fulfilled the Law perfectly.

So now our Faith in God, our love for God, and what He has done will cause us to obey His Law. We will love, follow, and obey His Law and the Spirit of God will abide with us and help us do that very thing.

Galatians 3:7-14

7 Know then that it is those of faith who are the sons of Abraham. 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you shall all the nations be blessed.” 9 So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. 10 For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.” 11 Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by faith.” 12 But the law is not of faith, rather “The one who does them shall live by them.” 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”— 14 so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.

The Fullness of God

May the Lord fill you today with all wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of all the promises, all the great power, and the unconditional love that the Lord has for you!

That you will be fully equipped, full of confidence, and fully known by the Lord your God. That your faith and trust in Him will be increased with great faith and that you will go out with boldness to proclaim God’s truth to a dying world.

Do not worry about your own welfare, for the Lord will take care of all your needs. Dedicate yourself to the work He has given you. He will take care of the rest. But concern yourself with helping others see the truth and hope of the Lord.

Ephesians 3:14-21

14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

God of The Universe

How much knowledge do you think you possess of everything that could be known in the entire universe? Do you think you might possibly know 5% 1% 1/2% or maybe .1%?

Let us look closer at that thought. How much knowledge do you know about the country that you live in? Every person, vehicle, building, field, tree, plant, animal, fish, down to every insect, creeping thing, and even things we can’t see with the naked eye; cells, germs, molecules, DNA, and atoms? What about everything in the entire world? Everything in every deep jungle, in every sandy desert, to the tops of every mountain, and to the depths of every pond, stream, lake, sea, and ocean? How about every planet, asteroid, comet, and the sun of our solar system?

Our Galaxy and all 250 BILLION stars not to mention planets and moons in our Galaxy? Our Universe and every detail of every 2 TRILLION or so Galaxies. How about every one of them and every event since the beginning of time?

At first you may have thought you knew a lot maybe even .001%, but after thinking deeply, it might be more like .0 with a TrillionZeros 1% of all knowledge is more accurate. Just thinking of how much there is to know, and knowledge that there is possible to know, it is MIND BLOWING!!!! But God knows it all!

Do you believe there is a God? He would have to be so powerful and extremely intelligent to create everything in the Universe? To design, craft, put everything together in such brilliance, order, consistency, and able to hold everything together.

If you know so little, and you don’t believe or say there is no God, could you be wrong? He is there? You just don’t have the knowledge of Him? Could everything be here by chance? Is that even remotely possible?

Have you ever seen an explosion put things in order, or create anything from that explosion? Perhaps you have seen an explosion create a working and functional smartphone? Yes? No! Never has anything be created in this way.

If it is impossible for nothing to create anything, then it is also impossible for something of non-intelligence to create anything of intelligence, and also for something like this to create anything at all!

There Has To Be A Creator!! And since there is a Creator, He must be Good and Perfect, to make everything so complex, ordered, and beautiful! If He is Good and Perfect, then He could not tolerate Evil! Because “Good” means moral perfection. If so He has to reward Good and punish Evil!

So the Big question is, “are you Good?” Lets see if you are, by honestly answering some simple questions. How many times have you lied in your entire life? Have you ever stolen anything that didn’t belong to you, no matter how small or insignificant? Wouldn’t that make you a liar and a thief?

Have you ever coveted someone’s possessions or wife or husband? Or made anything at all more important to yourself than God? If so you would be covetous and an idolater!

Jesus said in Matthew 5:21-30 ” You have heard it said of old you shall not murder, but I say to you, if you hate your brother you have committed murder in your heart already.” Jesus also said, “You have heard it of old, you shall not commit adultery, but I say to you, anyone who looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery in their hearts already.” If you have hated someone or lusted after someone in your heart, that would make you a murderer and or an adulterer at heart.

We can plainly see that none of us are Good. “All of us have fallen short of the Glory of God.” Romans 3:23

We are all criminals in God’s eyes, and we have all broken His Law the Ten Commandments. Because God is Good, He is also Just and Righteous and He has to judge and punish sin wherever it is found.

One day you will die and you will have to face God and He will find you guilty and sentence you to Hell which is His prison for us sinners. Does that bother you? Does that scare you? It should! I don’t want you to go to such a horrible place as Hell.

But did you know that God made a way that you can escape, your punishment that you deserve was paid for. God sent His only son Jesus Christ to the earth 2000 years ago to suffer, die, and take the entire Wrath of God upon himself to pay for your sins and mine. Then He rose from the dead, therefore defeated sin and death. He is now alive and seated at the right hand of the Throne of God.

This means that God can legally dismiss your case.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Today, there are three things you need to do: Confess your sins to God, Repent, which means turning away from your life of sin, and trust fully in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. If you do that from your heart, God promises to forgive you of all your sins and give you eternal life in Heaven as a free gift.

There is a God! The Universe and all Creation Cries out and proclaims that He does exist. He says that if you seek Him with all your heart you will find Him. You must have faith in Him.

For the Word of God says, “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” Hebrews 11:6

He will save you from an eternity of suffering in Hell.

Your sins will be paid for, one way or the other, either by Jesus and His death on the cross, or by you. You will pay for them for all eternity in Hell.

Please consider this! This is more important than all the riches of the world. The only thing you will take from this world into eternity is your eternal soul. Make this decision today before you leave from here, you may not make it home! Before you sleep tonight. You may not wake up tomorrow. We are not promised anything more than the breath in our lungs right now! Make your eternal destination Heaven!

The Lord gives what you Need

I know you are looking toward all the things you are in need of. Looking for all the things you want or think you need. You may be completely innocent, not looking for the things that your flesh desires. But just those basic needs of life. Just enough to get you by. You are not greedy, you only want what the Lord has for you. Many times it is hard to know exactly what it is He has in mind.

The Lord will always provide for His children exactly what they need, and in His right time He will bring them to you.  It might be hard and tough to endure while you wait for it, this is true. But, it is guaranteed that the Lord is using every situation for your good, to teach you, to make you grow, and to form you into His likeness.

Don’t worry or be anxious about all those things. But seek the will of the Lord, looking forward to what is important. Seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Which also means to walk in His ways, to seek those things in your day to day life that will bring pleasure to your Lord. Those things that make Him smile when He looks down upon you.

Matthew 6:25-33

25 Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? 28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Who is the Faithful Servant

Who is the one that the Lord will be pleased with at this very moment? Who will He be pleased with when He returns? It will be His servant that lives a life of continual servitude to his master Jesus Christ. Keeping His ways, commands, precepts, encouraging one another, loving the unlovable, and diligently working to build the Kingdom of Heaven.

Do all you can to please the Father in everything you do. Be alert to the opportunities He has placed before you, and the work He has prepared for you. Be found faithful right now, and when the Lord returns, keeping yourselves busy doing the Lord’s will and work.

Each one of us has a different job, given to us by the Lord, as a part of the body of Christ. Work together with others in the body to do the Lord’s work. Just as a real body works together to accomplish a task. Go forth keeping this all in mind.

Work together to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, help the broken, lift up the weak, make bold the unsure, comfort the lonely, encourage the brotherhood, and seek to save the lost!

Matthew 24:42-47

42 Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into.

44 Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. 45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time? 46 Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. 47 Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions.

You are called His Friend

Oh how the Father loves His own. Oh how He loves His servants and children, and He knows who they are. If you are known by the Father, you are so much more that His servant. The Lord Jesus calls you His friend. For He is much more than just your master, but you are brothers and sisters, heirs to the Kingdom of God and apart of the family of God.

Just as Jesus laid down His life for you, because of His Great love, so now you are to lay down your life for Him and obey His commands. In so doing you prove that you are truly brothers, sisters, and children of the Father.

So go from here and do as He commands and bear much fruit. Do the work of seeking to save the lost that are all around you. This is the work that God the Father has prepared for you to do before time began. He knew you and set you apart for this good and special task, that you would bear much fruit.

John 15:12-15

12 This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. 17 These things I command you, so that you will love one another.

God Fights for You

God is the one who will fight for you. He is the one who delivers. His ways are higher, wider, deeper, and wiser than any trial or tribulation that comes your way. He is above all things and is in complete control,

Praise Him, glorify Him, exalt Him, and honor Him today! When you feel down, and you do not know what to do or where to turn, worship Him and trust Him.

He has a purpose for each and every hardship, He is the one who allowed them all. He is the one who placed you there. He has a great reason for each and every struggle.

Turn your faith, hope, and trust in the Lord your God and He will lift you up, guide your steps, protect, and defend you, and show you His glorious hand that has always been upon your life.

O God! I will sing and make melody with all my being! Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awake the dawn! I will give thanks to you, O LORD, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations.

For your steadfast love is great above the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth! That your beloved ones may be delivered, give salvation by your right hand and answer me! Psalms 108:1-6

The Lord is Faithful

Let us continue to pray for one another, never to give up on each other. Loving, caring, bearing with each other in every way. Pray for each other for protection from both the evil of this world and from the evil spirits that want to tear us down and destroy us, our good work, and friendships.

For we are engaged in a true battle against demons. Satan is continually sending his wicked ones against us to cause us to sin and to stop our work for the Lord. To divide and conquer us. But we are more than conquerors in the name of Jesus. We will not be swayed or tossed by the wicked schemes of the devil!

“May God be true and everyone a liar!” May we stand firm with our armor on tight and our hearts pure before the Lord. Not listening to the lies of the devil. That the word of the Gospel of Jesus Christ may go forward unhindered, and transform lives and save souls.

2 Thessalonians 3:1-5

1 Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored, as happened among you, 2 and that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men. For not all have faith. 3 But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one. 4 And we have confidence in the Lord about you, that you are doing and will do the things that we command. 5 May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ.
