Persevere, The Lord Is In Control

Who is it that will please God but the faithful? Who is it that will do God’s will but the obedient? Who will know the right thing to do but those who have His wisdom? Who will prosper in all they do but the one who seeks God, His will, and Spirit with all their heart? But the fool will come to ruin, and his hand will cause his own demise because he chose to turn away from God and His commands.

The wise of heart will receive commandments, but a babbling fool will come to ruin. Proverbs 10:8

God is the one who can keep the righteous path straight and causes the foolish path to remain crooked. God is the one who can make the hard heart soft and the polluted mind pure. God is the one who gives the Spirit and is in control of it all. You must seek Him with all your heart to be filled, yet, no one can change anything the Lord has decreed.

Don’t fret, don’t worry, don’t ask why this and why that. Why is all this happening? Though He understands when you do, instead, trust in the Lord for everything. His plan is perfect, His ways are true, and everything is according to His purposes. So everything that happens will be according to His will and in His perfect timing and plan. So seek Him continually and patiently wait for Him to move.

“The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.” The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD. Lamentations 3:24-26

Wait for His timing and for His will to be done. Then, fight for what is right and what He has directed you to do. Fight for it; it will be a battle, for the devil is continually on the prowl to attempt to destroy, derail, discourage, and demolish the road signs that will lead you to your place. But stand firm in your hope and trust in the Lord. If you are under adversity and affliction, you will need to persevere. You will make it to the end, and what the Lord has for you will be yours when you keep your focus on Jesus.

Do not trust in money, the things of this world, or even what you see with your eyes, for there is much more happening behind the scenes that God is doing than meets the eye. Seek to be filled with the Spirit of the Lord, with His Spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge, and the fear of the Lord. Then you will prosper and move forward from your place of waiting to do the Lord’s will.

Better is the end of a thing than its beginning, and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit. Be not quick in your spirit to become angry, for anger lodges in the heart of fools. Say not, “Why were the former days better than these?” For it is not from wisdom that you ask this.

Wisdom is good with an inheritance, an advantage to those who see the sun. For the protection of wisdom is like the protection of money, and the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of him who has it.

Consider the work of God: who can make straight what He has made crooked? In the day of prosperity, be joyful, and in the day of adversity, consider: God has made the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him. Ecclesiastes 7:8-14
