By the power and authority of God Almighty, all things are firmly fixed under His control. Everything in the heavens and on earth is under His ultimate rule. Though mankind may raise a tiny fist against Him now, one day every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess that He reigns forever. To the one who sits on the throne, King Jesus.
He will bring all things and every man great and small into subjection to Himself. Even those who curse His name will be forced to give Him praise and glory.
Therefore God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11
Yet, the Lord is faithful to His servants who are faithful to Him. His servants love and follow His commands and precepts. To those who refuse to listen to the ways of man, but choose to seek God’s will in everything they do. To listen to God rather than men.
He will take care of you in every situation. He gives you life and joy even through the hard times and struggles. He never leaves His children alone. He cares, keeps, protects, and provides for your every need. Even as the world around you has no understanding of what He or you are doing.
They may lash out against you with their words of condemnation and acts of hatred. They may scorn and laugh at your good and righteous ways. But the eyes of the Lord are watching and His ears are attentive to the prayer of the righteous. His anger grows against the actions of the wicked. When the time is right He will come and bring His mighty rebuke.
In my distress I called upon the LORD; to my God, I cried for help. From His temple, He heard my voice, and my cry to Him reached his ears. Then the earth reeled and rocked; the foundations also of the mountains trembled and quaked because He was angry. Smoke went up from His nostrils, and devouring fire from His mouth; glowing coals flamed forth from Him. He bowed the heavens and came down; thick darkness was under His feet.
He rode on a cherub and flew; He came swiftly on the wings of the wind. He made darkness His covering, His canopy around Him, thick clouds dark with water. Out of the brightness before Him, hailstones and coals of fire broke through His clouds.
The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Most High uttered His voice, hailstones, and coals of fire. And He sent out His arrows and scattered them; He flashed forth lightnings and routed them. Then the channels of the sea were seen, and the foundations of the world were laid bare at your rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of your nostrils. Psalm 18:6-15
Though they try to tear you down and destroy your good name and life, be content where the Lord has you now. There is much to be learned and much to be done. He has many great things in store and plans yet to be seen. No matter what raging storms batter your sides He will be there to keep you standing firm.
His heavens stand firm and your place in those heavens stands firm and unmovable. He is seated, His work is done, and no one will change the outcome He has declared from the beginning. Nothing they can say or do can truly harm you. Your armor is strong and God has polished it bright. For your champion has already conquered. He has already won the war.
Your path is straight and He will light your way. He doesn’t light it up with a floodlight but guides you by a small light of a lamp. By the twinkling brilliants of the stars above. He desires your forward motion by faith and not by the near-sighted silliness of the world.
His plan for you is fixed, solid, and sure. No one can change what the Lord has ordained. What He has established will surely come to pass. You can trust the one who reigns over all creation.
Forever, O LORD, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens. Your faithfulness endures to all generations; you have established the earth, and it stands fast. By your appointment, they stand this day, for all things are your servants.
If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction. I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have given me life. I am yours; save me, for I have sought your precepts. The wicked lie in wait to destroy me, but I consider your testimonies. I have seen a limit to all perfection, but your commandment is exceedingly broad. Psalms 119:89-96
