Emulate The Savior

Honor the Lord with every word that comes from your mouth. Honor Him with every action, thought, and deed. Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords. He is “the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” Above any other, He is the one who deserves the honor.

Emulate Jesus as your Savior in all your ways, speaking the truth always with your neighbor and living out the truth in your daily life. Keep walking in the truth, taking captive every thought to honor Christ, just as He the Father in these ways. You will do well when you forge forward in faith, working hard to do the Lord’s will. No matter how difficult it may be.

Put away from you all hatred, bitterness, slander, and anger. Do not allow the devil to find a foothold in your life through anything sinful. Living in sin is not His will and will hinder you from moving forward according to His plan. Instead, it will entangle and trap you in doubt, depression, sadness, and fear because that is the goal of Satan by ensnaring you to get caught up in all kinds of sinful behaviors and the things of this world.

But walk in the Spirit and not in your fleshly desires, for the Spirit of God gives life, strength, boldness, and confidence when you turn from those sins to do what is right. So, seek what is good and beneficial to yourself.

The Word of God says, “Give and it will be given to you,” “Seek and you will find,” “Knock and it will be opened unto you.” “Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the LORD, and He will repay him for his deed.”

So do what is good, and the Lord will reward you. Give to those in need. Seek the Lord’s direction. Knock on the doors of heaven with your every request so that the will of the Lord may be done through your faithful service. He will repay you for your obedience, compassion, generosity, and kindness.

Love one another with a pure heart. Don’t take offense, but be patient, bearing with one another, and forgiving one another. Turn to Jesus, repent, and shake off the sins that linger so close to hold you back. If you do, the Lord will forgive you and help you to do what is right through the Holy Spirit. It is not just a promise; it is a fact. If you live like this, the Lord will be pleased with you. He will pay you back for all the good you have done for Him because you Emulated Jesus Christ.

Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another. Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil. Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need.

Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.  Ephesians 4:25-32
