His Excellent Craftsmanship

“Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I will say rejoice!” No matter what problems you have endured, whether they are a part of your life or may happen in the future, keep worshipping and rejoicing in the Lord, for He is good and in control of your life. The Lord, your God, has saved your soul and transformed you into something beautiful according to His plan. He has already positioned you on high and established your place in Heaven, and it will never be revoked in Jesus’ name.

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace, you have been saved— and raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, Ephesians 2:4-6

Everything that has happened to you in this life was of God’s design; it was all for your good, growth, and God’s honor and glory. He has it all planned out. Everything was allowed to happen and will happen for a specific reason and purpose. No matter what other people did to you or how much pain and suffering you went through. It was all according to His plan.

He molded you as the potter forms clay. Then, at the right time, He puts you through hardships and trials to cure you in the way He needs you to be, as a clay pot is set in a kiln to be ready for service. Similarly, God’s refinement is like gold purified by fire and how silver is smelted in a crucible seven times. Also, did you know that the silversmith will sit patiently and carefully watch the process of the purification of silver? He makes sure the silver is not overheated or damaged.

In all of these examples of refinement, the master has to monitor the entire process to ensure the final product is refined to perfection. God is the Master of His faithful servants and is intimately involved in their tests, trials, persecution, and refining process all along the way. He ensures you are transformed and prepared to do as His plans require.

For He is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, and they will bring offerings in righteousness to the LORD. Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the LORD as in the days of old and as in former years. Malachi 3:2-4

Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tried you in the furnace of affliction. For my own sake, for my own sake, I do it, for how should my name be profaned? My glory I will not give to another. Isaiah 48:10-11

I pray that you can see that all the struggles He allowed you to go through were intended to make you into exactly what God planned from the beginning. He has blessed you through the refinement process. Because of your faithfulness to endure the sufferings of Christ, you will shine like the sons of God for His glory and your promotion.

Because the poor are plundered, because the needy groan, I will now arise,” says the LORD; “I will place him in the safety for which he longs.” The words of the LORD are pure words, like silver refined in a furnace on the ground, purified seven times. You, O LORD, will keep them; you will guard us from this generation forever.” Psalm 12:5-7
