The Lord Reigns Forever

We live in such a fallen world, evil and corrupt on all sides. They strive and connive, thinking they will destroy the righteous. They plot evil and hatch deceitful plans, conspiring amongst themselves to tear down the godly and the good things of the Lord. They are convinced of their victories but oblivious to their own destruction.

The wicked plots against the righteous and gnashes his teeth at him, but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for He sees that his day is coming. Psalm 37:12-13

God’s glory has been displayed throughout the universe since the creation of all things. You can see His brilliance in the rising and setting of the sun and the stars of the heavens at night. Do not fear the wicked, for God has everything in His control; His power can not be overthrown. He rules in eternal glory and will reign forevermore.

This world and its people will continue to go from bad to worse until Jesus returns. Yet His control is firm and will establish the righteous nevertheless. Remember that God reigns supreme no matter what happens, no matter what trials you face, and whatever difficulties befall you. God’s plan is in place. God’s hand is upon you to lead and guide you every step. At the appointed time, His plan will be accomplished.

He who comes from above is above all. He who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. He who comes from heaven is above all. He bears witness to what he has seen and heard, yet no one receives his testimony. Whoever receives his testimony sets his seal to this, that God is true. For he whom God has sent utters the words of God, for he gives the Spirit without measure. John 3:31-34

Keep praying, leaning on Him, and continually seeking His face and presence. Keep giving everything over to Jesus. Then He will go before you, rise behind you, surround you, and be within you. He will strengthen and embolden you to boldly face the wicked of this world. You will accomplish everything He has planned for you to do. For whatever the wicked meant it for evil, God will turn it for your good.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them because God has shown it to them. For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived ever since the creation of the world in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 

For although they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks to Him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things. 

Therefore, God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. Romans 1:18-25
