Who Is Jesus To Me

Who is Jesus to me? He is the Savior of all those who believe in Him; this includes you and me. He is my brother and my friend. He is my source of strength, wisdom, peace, and patience. He is the Lord of lords and the King of kings who will judge all mankind. He will judge everyone for everything they have done, both good and evil.

From His mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. On His robe and on His thigh, He has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords. Revelation 19:15-16

But they will give account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. For this is why the gospel was preached even to those who are dead, that though judged in the flesh the way people are, they might live in the spirit the way God does. 1 Peter 4:5-6

He is the righteous one who came and lived as an ordinary man of no stature or appeal, the opposite of His glory. He healed, loved, and died for our sins. He suffered at the hands of religious sinners and died to pay for their debt to God.

Who has believed what he has heard from us? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? For He grew up before Him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; He had no form or majesty that we should look at Him and no beauty that we should desire Him. He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief, and as one from whom men hide their faces, He was despised, and we esteemed Him not. Isaiah 53:1-3

He rose again from the dead and defeated the devil, sin, and death. Now He sits at the right hand of Father God and offers the forgiveness of sin if you repent, believe, and follow Him with all your heart, soul, mind, and life. He waits for you to repent and turn from your sins. To abandon the wickedness of your heart and this world to serve Him totally for His will and the kingdom of God.

“And now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did also your rulers. But what God foretold by the mouth of all the prophets, that His Christ would suffer, He thus fulfilled. Repent, therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets long ago. Acts 3:17-21

He is God and will sit in judgment one day after you die and will give you either reward for following Him or recompense for all your crimes against His Law, the Ten Commandments. Turn from sin today. Stop your lies, thefts, lust, hatred, fornication, disobedience to your parents, covetousness, idolatry, and more rebellious actions.

Repent and turn to follow the truth. Jesus is the author of salvation, the way, the truth, and life. Turn to His works of goodness, kindness, compassion, and love. To build up rewards in heaven is worth much more than all the world’s wealth.

Yes, a great reward awaits all those who abandon the sinful ways of their flesh and wickedness. God has promised not only heaven but much more reward for obeying and following Him than you could ever imagine.

Yet among the mature, we do impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age who are doomed to pass away. But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory. None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him” these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. 1 Corinthians 2:6-10
